I had been a DArcy GMC customer since I bought my truck there in December, 2019. During those years the Service Department was responsive, courteous and professional. In May 2025, I made an appointment because I was interested in getting a new car. I made an appointment to view and test drive the GMC Hummer. In contrast to their Service Organization the Sales Department seemed truly apathetic and had no interest in customer service. When my wife and I arrived we asked for the manager by name as we were requested. He remained seated behind the front counter and motioned to another sales rep to essentially hand us off. Which is okay but not even a courtesy of a hello to a long term current customer. The Sales Rep appeared as if we were interrupting his day and could only answer a couple of basic questions. Did not have most answers about the vehicle. We asked for a test drive so we could just try it out ourselves and we liked the Hummer ev. When we got back, I shared the things I would be looking for in vehicle options. I did not hear back from the Sales Rep. A few days later, I called and asked the Sales Rep to follow up and also said I would consider 2026 models if they could not find a vehicle with the options I wanted. Surprisingly, I never heard from DArcy again. Instead, I started doing my own search on the GMC website and found a variety of different options. I happened to call Marquardt GMC in Barrington. Yes, they are almost an hour away. During the one phone call, the Sales Rep was professional, courteous, knowledgeable about all the questions I raised to him. I made an appointment with Marquardt GMC and we were greeted as we approached the entrance. Needless to say, we bought a new vehicle and drove home in it that day. Now, a word about Marquardt GMC. They are a smaller operation and around for about 75 years. They pride themselves on honesty, integrity and putting their customers first. The people were phenomenal and they addressed every area of concern and talked us through many things we needed to consider. They were thoughtful and gracious and I thank God for steering us to them. Please know I would highly recommend Marquardt GMC. I am a customer of theirs for life. I will not do business with DArcy nor could I ever recommend them to anyone. More

I purchased a new Sierra with the trade of my Jeep. My salesman was Kyle Lopez and the sales GM Luke Sillar joined once it was time to crunch numbers. Both were great to work with, both knew the product and were able to answer all my questions. I had been looking for about 2 months so I was very familiar with the truck trims and prices as well as the value of my Jeep I traded. I am very satisfied with the final price of the truck I purchased, I also got a fair trade value for my Jeep. Both Kyle and Luke worked to cover every detail and did everything they could to make the process quick and simple. They were both honest and straightforward. As a side note, days after after the sale I returned to have some extras done by service, Kyle personally arranged the appointment and work to be done and Luke even checked in to make sure I was still happy with everything. In short, these guys were personable, professional, knowledgeable and were focused on making sure I was satisfied to the best of their ability. A tip of the hat to D'Arcy, good employees and good leadership make a huge difference! They have earned my business. More
