During a visit to our local Volkswagen dealership, I intended to test drive a 2022 Volkswagen Atlas. Despite having previously planned to purchase a Telluride the following day, I decided to test drive the Atlas to make an informed decision. Surprisingly, I found myself more drawn to the Atlas than the Telluride. During the negotiation process, I made it clear that I wanted the dealership to pay off my Dodge Caravan as part of the trade-in deal, which they agreed to. However, the entire transaction took several hours, spanning from 4:30 PM until almost 9:30 PM due to multiple rounds of negotiations and discussions. Despite sensing numerous red flags and feeling uneasy, we proceeded with the purchase. Upon leaving the dealership with our new vehicle, we were deeply disappointed by the experience. A few days later, we discovered that the dealership had neglected to add gap insurance despite our repeated requests. Consequently, we had to return to have it rectified. Additionally, I realized that I had forgotten to retrieve my old license plates, necessitating another trip to the dealership to collect them. Today, I noticed a hole in my passenger seat where the stitching had come undone. When I inquired about the necessary repairs, I was only advised to take it to an upholstery shop, stating that it would not be an expensive expense. Needless to say, I am deeply frustrated. A time when I should be excited about our new car has left me angry and disinclined to purchase another vehicle in the near future. Luis and Kevin were both patient and understanding, and Kevin has gone above and beyond to assist us. However, I am extremely disappointed with the overall experience. More
