I went to this dealership looking for a used Nissan Rogue. I was greeted by Louis one of the salesman. He was friendly, and I told him why I was there. He said they had a lot of deals going on for leasing a brand new Nissan Kicks. Asked if I would be interested in it. I said I would be willing if my credit score would be approved. So I test drove one and liked it. Louis then took my info to run it and see if I could be approved and it initially came back that I was. So we started the process, before I was leaving that day I was told to come back the following day with the down payment and we would finish up the paperwork the next day to finalize everything. But in the meantime they let me take the new vehicle on an extended test drive, because I needed to see if my elderly mom would be able to get in and out of the car. So the next day I went back in the morning with the check for the down and to sign the paperwork. Next thing I know, the finance manager comes over and says can we speak in my office for a minute. That didn't give me a good feeling, and I was right. Apparently they did a deeper dive into my credit and I was originally denied. No one bothered to tell me ahead of time before going there that morning, which irritated me. But she was like we can make some calls to see if the bank will work with me. She said she would be there all day and she would work on it and that I could leave still with the new vehicle and come back once she got an answer. As I was leaving my salesman came out and flagged me down saying come back in, we're going to work on this now. So I go back in, the manager that said she would be there all day and would work on it literally left right after I spoke with her! So someone else was going to work on it. So I literally sat there for another 2 hours waiting as they made phone calls. There was no reason for me to sit there waiting because they weren't even getting anywhere with the bank. So they finally said I could leave, after not being able to pick up my son from school because they had me stay there. But once again they still let me leave in the new car even tho I still wasn't approved yet. I was extremely uncomfortable with this but they kept saying it's fine. So I didn't hear anything from them the rest of that day. The next morning I was waiting to hear from them and wasn't so I called Louis and he said they are still working on it. By this time I was over it and just wanted to drop the car back off. But like an hour and a half later Louis called me back saying I was all set and I could come back in to finalize everything. So I go back there for a 3rd time that afternoon. I go there with the down payment I agreed to put down on day one. The finance manager brings me into her office to sign all the paperwork. As she's talking she's like we just need the rest of the fees to be paid today before we can continue the process. I had NO idea what she was talking about, because NO one ever mentioned them to me any other time I was there for hours! And mind you, the fees I wasn't told about weren't a small amount, they wanted over $3k more!!! That is NOT a small amount to just come up with without any notice!!! I was already putting down $5k for the down payment!!! So I said I was not told about any of these charges ahead of time, I will have to back out because I don't have that large amount of money on top of the $5k! She was like I can take a few of these fees off but adamant she couldn't take anything else off because they go to different places. So it got lowered to $1900. Which was still not feasible for me at such a short notice. So the person that came with me jumped in and told her I would pay the 2 fees that were definitely my responsibility and to make the others go away and I would sign the paperwork. "Magically" they disappeared! I signed, and left with a 2026 Red Nissan Kicks as a lease. Love the car, wasn't happy with the process or how it was handled with the dealership! More

This is the place to go if you want to purchase a Nissan. I traveled 60 miles from lower Fairfield County, because I couldn't find a better price or an honest upfront dealership. We agreed to a price over the phone, I came in and there no hidden fees, just like promised. The car was clean and ready for pickup when I arrived. You won't go wrong with Middletown Nissan. More

Best car dealer experience I’ve had. Louis Perez made my experience better than I anticipated. He was patient with my questions and concerns and went out his way to accommodate. At no time did I feel pressured or a disinterest from him during my process. Can’t say the same for many others dealers I’ve been to but I won’t go anywhere else after this. Great job Louis and thanks to all the staff at Middletown Nissan for your awesomeness. Your awards and accolades are well deserved! More
