I was buying out my lease after 3 years, 12k miles on the car. I asked a detailed buyout price and got one, not one word mentioning safety inspection that I have to pay. Little did I know .... They make th car. I asked a detailed buyout price and got one, not one word mentioning safety inspection that I have to pay. Little did I know .... They make the lease buyout look like a regular used car transaction so they can force you to do the K-208 safety inspection ... because it's the law, right? Safety inspection for the very same car I've been the sole owner the last 3 years. I called the DMV and they said no safety inspection is needed for the car. But the dealership insisted to it and said if I don't let them make the inspection then they'd say my car is not safe for the road. And of course they would find something to fix, right? They always do. The car is barely used, regularly maintained, always taken great care. Yet they were able to find a damage which costs $1,200 and the best part, I can't get the car on my name until that isn't fixed even though I already paid the full buyout price! I feel scammed, big time, never ever would I go near to Park City Ford or any other Ford dealership again. More
