I wasn’t the one communicating directly with the dealership, but I’ve watched my fiancée attempt for days to obtain simple documentation and clarification from management. The questions were straig dealership, but I’ve watched my fiancée attempt for days to obtain simple documentation and clarification from management. The questions were straightforward — written proof and explanation regarding aftermarket products we were charged for at purchase. Instead of providing this information clearly, management repeatedly pushed phone calls and avoided addressing the requests in writing. From an outside perspective, this was frustrating to observe. If products are being sold and charged to customers, supporting documentation should be easy to provide. This experience significantly undermined our confidence in the dealership’s transparency and customer communication. We will not be doing business here again. More

I’m leaving this review after making repeated attempts to resolve concerns directly with dealership management. My fiancé and I traveled nearly 7 hours to purchase a used vehicle from Lithia Toyota of Billi resolve concerns directly with dealership management. My fiancé and I traveled nearly 7 hours to purchase a used vehicle from Lithia Toyota of Billings. While the vehicle itself was acceptable, the post-sale experience and handling of basic questions left a very negative impression. We were charged for aftermarket products (Permaplate and Pulse) that were presented as non-negotiable. After the purchase, I made multiple requests for written documentation and clarification regarding these items — specifically what protections or limitations applied to our vehicle. Rather than receiving direct answers, I was repeatedly told to call and redirected away from providing information in writing. When I continued asking for straightforward documentation, responses became minimal and ultimately stopped. Asking for clear records regarding charges added to a purchase should not be this difficult. The lack of transparency and communication from management was extremely frustrating. Based on this experience, we will not return for future business. More

Never ever buy a car from here. I recently attempted to purchase a vehicle from Lithia Toyota Billings, and the experience was extremely disappointing and absurd. I placed a $500 I recently attempted to purchase a vehicle from Lithia Toyota Billings, and the experience was extremely disappointing and absurd. I placed a $500 deposit on a new Sienna that had not been built yet. When it came time to sign paperwork once the car was delivered to the dealership I noticed two line items totalling $1300 that had not been discussed with me, one called Permaplate the other was a Pulse Brake Light kit. When I raised concerns — citing their own paperwork stating that the “PermaPlate” package was not required and must be approved by the buyer— they became hostile and ultimately refused to sell me the vehicle. The dealership also tried to charge for an aftermarket “Pulse brake” equipment that was never disclosed before appearing on the contract. I did not want my car that I had placed a deposit on to be altered and was never told it would be. They could provide no explanation of why it was added without customer consent. The idea that a dealership would modify a new vehicle’s brake-light system before notifying the buyer is unacceptable. When I questioned these items, staff became defensive rather than transparent and refused to negotiate. Instead of addressing the clear discrepancy between their written contract and the fees they were demanding, they left a voice message stating they were refusing to sell me the car, all because I asked them to honor the terms they themselves provided. I’ve since purchased a vehicle from another dealership with zero drama, so the issue is clearly not standard policy — it’s Lithia Toyota Billings. Even after contacting Toyota Corporate, who agreed with me, they refused to negotiate. Consumers deserve honesty and transparency — not pressure tactics, hidden fees, or unauthorized add-ons. I would strongly caution anyone considering buying a car here to find someone else. This was the worst car buying experience I have ever encountered and we lost money for a flight and hotel since I was traveling from out of state. Do not give them your business. More
