🍋🍋🍋🍋 Massively disappointed. Purchased a used VW GTi from Herb Chambers of Burlington in July 2021. 101k miles. Oil level was overfilled after their 112 point inspection! I rectified this with an immedi from Herb Chambers of Burlington in July 2021. 101k miles. Oil level was overfilled after their 112 point inspection! I rectified this with an immediate oil change by the fantastic team at Wellesley VW. Couple of weeks of waiting for a spare key which they finally provided, but were unable to get it to function! By November with 104k miles the oil pressure warning light started to intermittently came on. Again Wellesley VW removed the sump and was found to be full of metal particles. They recommended a replacement engine at a cost of $7,500. I advised Lee Diamond at Herb Chambers who was the salesman. He said he would raise the situation with his manager and offered many platitudes to placate me. And promised I would hear back from them potentially with the suggestion of help. Nothing occurred. The engine seized the day before thanksgiving. It is now being replaced at Wellesley VW. Including a 12 month warranty. Never heard anything of substance from Herb Chambers!!!!! Not even an apology!!! More
