In the end, they reduces the sale price and the cost of the finish, so it worked out OK. I was hoping to avoid this type of price negotiation. The Car also qualifies for the $4000 federal tax credit for used EVs, and we discussed that, but I have nothing (yet) from the dealership verifying that qualification or the required reporting to the IRS within three days.
