Poor business practice. 11/16/21 Unfortunately I must bring problems to light regarding the mechanical service that failed me as a consumer. When I had my car serviced and had the valve cover gaskets rep bring problems to light regarding the mechanical service that failed me as a consumer. When I had my car serviced and had the valve cover gaskets replaced. Oil was leaking into my alternator. Greenville KIA only changed one gasket. After driving I began to have the same problems where my car was cutting out with no explanation. Occasionally I could get started and keep going to get home. It broke down in the middle of the road and I had it towed to Greer KIA. It is there when it was explained to me. Your alternator and car will continue to break down until you have Greenville fix what they did not do properly. The Greer mechanic sent me pictures of the old oil leaks and the new leaks once again on the alternator. He explained that when you change gaskets and lift the engine you change all gaskets. The valve cover gasket was not the source of the problem. It is a timing gasket that is leaking oil dripping into the alternator. This can cause the car to ignite into flames. 7/10/21 The Greer mechanic replaced the alternator and I already replaced the battery AGAIN. The mechanic told me that the car will break down until Greenville fixes it. I honestly don't know why Greer couldn't fix it right. He said that its a 17 hour job which is why once you have the engine up you change all gaskets. My car has been sitting since September. HERE'S WHERE IT GETS RIDICILOUS. I have made over 10 calls to KIA of Greenville. (Go ahead and call KIA & ask for @Dennishenry) I have asked for @Dennis Henry I get the EXACT same response. He's in a meeting. I've had others call in and they here the same. "He's in a meeting". My daughter took me to see Dennis Henry and he had left for the day. "Rick: offers his assistance on Saturday October 30, 2021. I go over the information with him and he states the mechanic is no longer working there. He promised he would get with @Dennishenry and call me on Monday. I waited until Wednesday & called him back. Rick too has disappeared. It gets better. I called the owner of several dealerships including Greer & Greenville KIA's @Bobhogan and he says he will call me back. He never called me back. Now I've moved on with SC Automotive Dealers Association. Even if these business professionals wanted to decline any service to me at least they'd still have their integrity. Shame on you guys. I'm sure you've heard of the cancel culture. This is why people protest, this is why people what expose others, businesses. Poor business practices will ruin a good thing. Dennis Henry, Bob Hogan and Rick. I have no problem providing positive support to people that do well at their job. More

Kia Failed Engine after 4 YEARS! We bought a brand new Kia in April 2016. Four years later, the car would not start. We brought it to the Kia of Greenville Dealership for a diagnostic We bought a brand new Kia in April 2016. Four years later, the car would not start. We brought it to the Kia of Greenville Dealership for a diagnostic and were told that we needed a new engine to the tune of $6,000. The dealership suggested that we call Kia HQ's to see if we could get a new engine since the car, "should not have had that problem after only 4 years of use." A representative from Kia HQ's called us back with a decision that they would NOT replace the engine and that it was something that the service department told them to lead them to their decision. We had regular oil changes and had all the receipts, so I can't imagine what they would have told them--I'm thinking they didn't want us to get a new engine so we would buy a car from them?? The punch line: they made us pay the $130+ diagnostic fee! I spoke with the service manager to see if we could get the fee waived, then spoke with the GM of the dealership. He was talking in circles and stated that he would not be able to pay his service tech if we didn't pay the diagnostic fee (I'm fairly certain his tech's don't earn $130 for 10 mintues of work). He ended up hanging up on me. I have a call into the owner (who also owns Greer Nissan and Toyota) and am yet to get a call back. After considering out options, we decided to sell the 4 yr old Kia vehicle salvage and buy a new car as we were in need of a truck to do some camping and gardening projects. We enjoyed our Tacoma in the past so purchased one, but NOT FROM GREER TOYOTA. They lost a sale over a measly $130--the culture over their is not one of common sense I'm guessing. Satellite More
