Was interested in a car. Didn’t even haggle and just said the next day that we were good to buy the car. I asked what additional fees and taxes there were as shown in text. Then when getting ready to go down, Klinton had me fill out a link to show the full price. Full price made sense as pictured. Then after getting there he asks what price I saw online (which I found weird so I deflected and didn’t even answer). He came back and said that their online price quote doesn’t account for everything and it doesn’t match what I was told online (again I hadn’t said what I got online at this point). It was $2800 higher for dealer reconditioning fees! Even though these fees are usually pork the dealership adds on to extend profits, at least most don’t waste your time and hide it until the very end. I told him that he knows that’s dirty business and I was leaving in 15 minutes if they didn’t honor the quote THEY gave me without me haggling at all. He mentioned something about how they discount the prices to attract people in, so it’s not his fault. It’s the business model. Then he offered that we could meet in the middle and I said I’m not going to be doing business with any business that operates like this. Have the integrity to be transparent and let buyers make a fully informed decision. $2800 is a lot of money difference but also I can’t believe a business would sell themselves and their integrity so cheaply with these tactics. I bought a new car from DW Toyota recently and I have to say that it was a really nice experience. I got the price I wanted to pay for my new car, got the value that I wanted for my trade, and it was a no say that it was a really nice experience. My salesman Klinton was again outstanding to work with, (2nd car I purchased from him), Mo in finance was awesome. They both were polite, friendly, professional, and weren’t pushy in the least. Justin the service manager is also great. He always goes above and beyond for you every time you need to get your car serviced. I highly recommend visiting David Wilson Toyota of Las Vegas if you want a great deal. More
