Purchased a vehicle as is left me on the side of the road within the first 36 hours. Had to pay $175 to have it towed to the nearest mechanic off the interstate. who said the car should not have been sold as within the first 36 hours. Had to pay $175 to have it towed to the nearest mechanic off the interstate. who said the car should not have been sold as a running car.. the mechanic contacted the dealership and they standby AS IS. They knew I needed a running car to travel with my grandchildren. They even sent a me a Uber to the dealership to purchase that vehicle. Knowing I needed to purchase a running car. Because I paid with a debit card I have no right for Lemon Law if I had bought the car off the street “Facebook etc” I would’ve had 72 hours to dispute the sale. because Cox Chevrolet is a dealership, they don’t have to acknowledge the dispute. During the test drive I was told how great the cars were and how they couldn’t keep them on the lot. When I question a noise, they told me it was just normal sound from the manifold. The dealership offered no good intent or ethical behavior and even said I was “stupid” when I asked for documentation from them that they recognize I tried to contact them with good faith. The car is still 45 minutes away at the mechanics with no way for me to get it back to Bradenton unless towed for 2k. They even sent a box of cookies that said .bite me! Which I found ironic. They legally can take your money then tell you to go away. The information I was provided by salesman and dealership were completely misleading by design. If I would’ve paid any other way, besides a cash I would have rights but because they knew I had cash and was looking to buy something they went out of their way to have me picked up and brought there knowing they needed to pawn this vehicle off on someone. They haven’t shown any kind of regret or apology for the inconvenience. They’ve shown no good faith of the sale or even a way to bring it back to Bradington. More
