Marcos and Karl offered us a price on a car that they said would not change (in writing!), so we spent money on a pre-purchase inspection with a third party mechanic, which Marcos and Karl knew about and agreed to. The inspection cost me $175. This inspection revealed some problems with the car, including that the main control knobs for the screen don't work. Karl and Marcos came back to us saying they would fix the issues, and we said okay. Then after a day they told us it was actually too expensive to fix, and they could no longer honor us the same price. A little disappointing since they said the price wouldn't change, but we understood to some degree. We asked, though, that they at least refund our inspection money since they're using the knowledge from it to fix the car and sell for a higher price. We contacted them several times offering them a chance to rectify this. They ghosted us. We've reported them to the BBB and want to warn you not to work with East County if you are looking for an honest experience. More

The leadership is weak, the GM is cone artist and the way they treat their customers is beyond horrible. I bought a great car here, near the end of the business day on a Friday night. We negotiated the terms, and being aware of the time constraint, I suggested I return the following day to do the paperwork. N day on a Friday night. I asked the salesman to review our terms, we agreed on them, and I signed the docs in a hurry, not having time to review the details. The next day when I read the docs I discovered the dealer had added a total of $2,698 to my contract. This amount was added to the contract price and added to the amount financed. The charges were for "optional" products that I was not told of. I've tried for the last four days to resolve this issue with Karl, the roadblock who acts as general manager here. Karl refused to meet with me as I sat in the sales office for two hours on 9/20/22. Despite having promised to return my phone calls over the past few days, not one call was received. Maybe Karl will chat with me in court. We'll see. Run away from this place. More

They then proceeded to make me wait for two hours claiming my car had “sun damage” and a “dog had been in the backseat”. I had just got it detailed, I don’t have a pet, and the sales woman said to me twice “we probably won’t even paint it before putting it on the lot”. I decided to stop wasting my time and try another dealership five minutes away. I sold my car for the $18k I wanted within 45 minutes. Please, do not waste your energy and time by settling for this horrible business! I drove less than five minutes up the road to a Kia Dealership and sold my car for the 18k I wanted to sell it for. Do not settle or be cheated by these crooks. More

Dec 4th ECPOS sold me a CNG concerted vehicle with a fuel leak. They told me to bring it back on a Monday, so they could fix it, and on Friday that said it was fixed and ready. They tried to get other financing w/out my permission when I already had approved financing which has affected my credit score negatively now. I would NEVER recommend buying a car here! More
