Wonderful dealership! Very professional staff from salesperson, to finance officer, to manager. We left with the car we came for and traded our old car within 2 hours. Probably the worst buying experience I’ve ever had. To start off with the sales rep that we were dealing with knew very minimal about the vehicle that they were selling. When asked a question about any To start off with the sales rep that we were dealing with knew very minimal about the vehicle that they were selling. When asked a question about anything they stated that they would have to ask their manager. Upon running our credit they gave us a 4 square with nothing but the vehicles information, the asking price, and a monthly payment… asking us to just sign it and be okay with everything. No apr or how many months or any sort of breakdown. And when asked they said I would know all of that after I sign the paper agreeing to everything and the mat they are just “old school” And on top of it all both them and their manager were super rude when asked all of these questions. Fast forward to now… upon purchasing the car, the sales rep stated that all cars go through a thorough 100+ point inspection even though this is a close to new vehicle. As we got the car home we found the front end to be making a popping noise when turning, brakes are now screeching, and there is a small oil leak coming from the vehicle. All of which should have been noted and fixed during said inspection. Have tried multiple times to call the dealership and talked to someone with no luck and no call back. I am left no other choice but to take it to someone and pay out of pocket for these things. Just to top all of this off…. Took it to the VW dealership to get said stuff repaired and upon looking at the records of the vehicle it had reported damage to the vehicle that had been fixed at a prior dealership. The sales rep stated to me that it had a “clean car fax” upon purchasing the vehicle. Overall a very poor experience at this dealership. All of my car buying over the years and I have never had this bad of a transaction. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO BUISNESS HERE! More

We had a genuinely great experience at Capital Toyota, and I want to specifically recognize Kamryn and Chandler for going above and beyond to make a difficult situation work for our family. We came in and I want to specifically recognize Kamryn and Chandler for going above and beyond to make a difficult situation work for our family. We came in needing to consolidate two vehicles into one, with some real financial constraints, and they treated us with respect, patience, and transparency the entire time. There was no pressure, no dismissiveness, and no games — just honest conversations and real effort to find a solution that made sense for us. Kamryn was incredibly communicative and understanding throughout the process, Curry, the preowned sales manager, advocated for us on the back end to ensure we got a fair price for our trades, and Chandler worked hard on the financing side to structure a deal that ultimately gave us peace of mind and meaningful monthly relief. They both took the time to explain options clearly and never made us feel rushed or uncomfortable. Buying a car can be stressful, especially when life isn’t perfectly “by the book,” but Capital Toyota proved that the right people can still make it a positive experience. We’re very grateful for the professionalism and empathy shown, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a dealership that actually listens and works with you. More

My experience with Capital Toyota was not just disappointing — it exposed a level of behavior that no customer should ever encounter at a dealership claiming to be reputable. I placed a deposit disappointing — it exposed a level of behavior that no customer should ever encounter at a dealership claiming to be reputable. I placed a deposit on an incoming vehicle after being told - with pressure that bordered on manipulative - that if I didn’t put money down immediately, the vehicle would be gone. I trusted them. That was my mistake. A week before the vehicle arrived, I unexpectedly lost my job. I immediately contacted the dealership, explained the situation, and asked for my deposit back. What happened next told me everything I needed to know about Capital Toyota’s ethics. The urgency they demanded from me when collecting the deposit vanished the second I needed it returned. Instead, I spent 10 days being shuffled between people, given excuses, contradictions, and dead ends. It should not take ten days and repeated calls to get your own money back. The message was clear: once they have your cash, getting it back requires a fight. After finally receiving the refund and getting my finances in order, I reached out to let them know I might still be able to proceed with the purchase. And that’s when the dealership showed its true colors. I was handed off to someone named Chandler (a manager), who delivered one of the most unprofessional conversations I’ve ever had with any business. He claimed that my refund had somehow damaged Capital Toyota’s corporate purchasing power — an excuse so absurd it would be laughable if it weren’t used to justify what came next. He told me that if I wanted to buy from them now, I would be forced to finance through their dealership. Not offered — forced. Then he attempted to punish me financially: • $4,000 less for my trade-in than another dealership • Extra finance charges piled on for no legitimate reason • An attempt to pressure me into an immediate decision It wasn’t sales. It wasn’t policy. It was retaliation. At that point, it became crystal clear: Capital Toyota does not value customers — they only value control. And if life circumstances change, they believe you should pay for the inconvenience. I walked away permanently. I went to Cleveland Toyota, where I bought the same vehicle, in the color I wanted, with the factory-installed packages Capital Toyota insisted “weren’t available.” Cleveland Toyota accomplished, in one visit, what Capital Toyota claimed was impossible. Here’s the truth: A dealership that treats a customer’s misfortune as an opportunity to squeeze, punish, and intimidate is not a dealership worth trusting with a dime. I rarely leave reviews. But some experiences demand to be documented - not out of anger, but out of responsibility to the next customer who walks through their doors unaware. If Capital Toyota reads this, I hope the discomfort is enough to spark change. No business that treats people this way should be surprised when customers take their money - and their loyalty -elsewhere. I feel so strongly, that I have also crafted a letter to Toyota’s Brand Engagement Center. Luckily I was smart enough to record my conversation with “the manager”, and I am looking forward to their response. Shame on you! More
