I traded in my 2022 BMW X3 that I bought from Birmingham BMW last year for a 2024 BMW X5. My salesperson was Valerie Wallace and she was more than amazing. I was very pleased with my purchase and service th BMW last year for a 2024 BMW X5. My salesperson was Valerie Wallace and she was more than amazing. I was very pleased with my purchase and service that I received on the sales sides. The post sales experience that I have experienced has been horrible, thus the reason for this review. I cancelled the remaining portion of the tire & wheel package that I purchased from the dealership and was told by the finance department (Jarmaine White) that I would receive my refund within 4-6 weeks. After 2 month of not receiving my refund nor hearing anything I tried to contact the dealership NUMEROUS times via telephone with no answer or response to voicemail. I called Jarmaine White (finance person who I completed paperwork with) and I even called the general manager (Kaleb Redmond). I was able to speak with Kaleb once and he stated that he would have the finance department check the status of this and call me back. I never heard back from them. After so many unsuccessful attempts with my local dealership I then contacted BMW USA for assistance. My assigned case manager gave me all the information to contact the third party company who handles the tire & wheel warranties. I agent that I spoke with at Safe Guard informed me that they never received any cancellation paperwork from BMW of Birmingham and asked if I had copies to send to them. I submitted a copy of my documents to get the cancellation processed and received an email from Safe Guard 11/6/23 stating that they have processed my cancellation and submitted a refund of over $2,000.00 to Sonic Automotive (BMW Birmingham) to be returned to me. On 12/6/23 when I have not received my refund I made several attempts to contact Jarmaine White (finance department) and Kaleb Redmond (general manager) to check the status of my refund. Of course they did not answer their phone nor return my phone calls. I called and was able to speak with the service manager (Shay) and he stated that he was going to walk to Jarmaine's office and have him call me by COB. After this I FINALLY received a call from Jarmaine (after 2 months of calls/voicemails) and he acted like he thought this was taken care of and put the blame on the workers in the "back room". He asked me to send him a copy of the cancellation documents via email and stated that he would "expedite" the process and return by call by COB that day. It is now 12/11/23 and I have yet to hear back from Jarmaine. I have contacted BMW USA and am currently waiting for my case manager to investigate what the hold up is. I will say my car buying experience was great; however, the post sales experience that I have experienced has been a nightmare. The post sales experience is just as important or even more important because it is a determining factor for return purchases. This has been my second BMW purchase from BMW of Birmingham and my last. If customer service is important for you I would NOT recommend this dealership. I will make my future purchases at another BMW dealership! More

This is the worst place ever to take your car! They said I requested brake fluid change and I did not. All I wanted was AC repair. They came up with all kinds of things to repair including a leaky head gasket. Went and got my car took to another mechanic and he said my head gasket was not leaking at all. Thank God for honest mechanics! Birmingham BMW is terrible! Don’t go here! More
