A Terrible Experience – Dishonest and Unprofessional Behavior My experience at the Lorenzo Buick dealership was extremely unpleasant, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. It felt like a comp Behavior My experience at the Lorenzo Buick dealership was extremely unpleasant, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. It felt like a complete scam from the beginning.On January 4, 2025, my husband and I went to the dealership based on a recommendation from a mutual friend of my husband and Mr. Julio Fernández (they knew each other from the Vedado neighborhood in Cuba). My husband went in with the intention of buying a car, and Mr. Julio Fernández recommended one to him. However, when we got home, the car wouldn't even start. I ended up signing a lease for a Buick Encore, and right from the start, Mr. Yosmel Tundidor offered me a credit card, supposedly to help reduce my car payments. I still don’t understand what benefit that was supposed to provide. In May, I discovered three raccoons inside the engine compartment of my car, and shortly after, a warning light appeared on my dashboard. I was very concerned and expected professional service. My husband contacted Mr. Julio Fernández, who advised us to bring the car to the dealership on Saturday, May 17. However, when I arrived, no one checked the car. Mr. Fernández told me I needed to leave the vehicle, but the person responsible for providing a courtesy car wasn’t there—this was incredibly disrespectful of my time.I returned on Monday, May 19 to drop off the car, and it took over three hours for the courtesy vehicle to arrive. I had to take time off work again. A few da ys later, Mr. Julio Fernández called to inform me that the repair would cost $1,400. He recommended I contact my insurance company because he claimed the damage was caused by animal vandalism. I followed his advice and filed a claim, but then Mr. Fernández claimed the insurance adjuster said the car had even more damage, and he began asking for more money. This is where everything became inconsistent. I stayed in touch with my insurance company’s adjuster (I have all the text messages as proof), and their version of events contradicted what Mr. Fernández and the dealership were telling me. It was clear that someone was not being honest. After nearly 15 days, I picked up my car on Saturday, May 31, and it was clear no real work had been done. The only actual damage was a single wire with minor bites from the raccoons. I have pictures to prove this. It became obvious that they were trying to scare me into paying for unnecessary repairs. Mr. Julio Fernández, supposedly a longtime friend of my husband, clearly took advantage of that trust. In contrast, Joshua another salesperson, was helpful and respectful throughout. He even told me the damage should be covered under warranty, since I leased the car in January and it has fewer than 36,000 miles. That information was never clearly communicated by Mr. Fernández or Mr. Alexander Obando, my service advisor. On May 23, the insurance adjuster visited the dealership and issued an estimate, but again, I wasn’t told the truth. Mr. Fernández didn’t say anything about additional damage; he just claimed they couldn’t work on the car because of the long weekend. He only later tried to push for more money, again with conflicting information. On the day I picked up the car, Mr. Fernández told me I couldn’t take it because it "might still be disassembled"—even though I had called him the day before and he said to give him 10 minutes, then never called me back. My advisor, Alexander Obando, was unreachable and only returned one call, telling me the insurance adjuster said there was more damage. Again, this was false, according to the adjuster. The only professional person at the end of this entire nightmare was Ivan Sandino, who finally helped me when I came to pick up the car. This dealership treated me with disrespect, wasted my time, and tried to intimidate me into unnecessary charges. They abused my trust, misled me repeatedly, and caused immense stress.
