If you come in expecting to wheel and deal- you will get frustrated and disappointed. So first thing is to check expectations. With used car buying, its not uncommon to expect negotiation. If you look at the listed price of $20,000 and expect to get Driversselect down a grand or too and masterfully negotiate financing, etc. etc. you will be disappointed. They, as a company policy, do not negotiate price and you will be much better positioned if you come in fully accepting to pay that full sticker price. If you’re not comfortable with that, then you might be better off going to a ‘normal’ dealership. That being said, their prices are definitely all good deals. All on the lower end of fair market value. All less that 4 years old. All under 40 or 50 thousand miles. All one owner. All no crash records. That’s the benefit to the consumer. They will push different protection packages etc, but if you know you don’t want it just be clear and respectful and they won’t include it. I’d read other reviews and many get shocked and offended that they would sell or push it. Don’t be shocked! Just be polite but clear if you don’t want it. I got a good deal with my Jetta, and below as you can see I’m pretty happy. But again, if your happiness comes from trying to masterfully negotiate and pull mind games with your salesman to “stick it to the man” and come out with a big haggle win- that’s ok! probably just buy your car somewhere else.
