My elderly friend bought a jeep with over 80,000 miles 4 months ago. She showed me the paperwork and was shocked. Unfortunately, she was badly taken advantage of when she met with Joe, finance/business mgr of Empire. She is naive and was ill prepared for the shark! Because she was asked to sign a tablet, she was unable to see the costs involved in the following. Joe sold her over $7,000 worth of extended warranty’s, Simonize, vin lasered on the vehicle, windshield protection, dent/scratch protection, roadside assistance, etc, etc. Just sign here, it’s a great deal he said. She bought a vehicle for $19,000 (only worth $16,000 on Blue Book) They screwed her on this also. Obviously, my friend is at fault for not bringing someone with her who was more savvy. She admits she didn’t understand the details. I went with her to Empire Swansea to understand what transpired. I discussed with a manager there. He said they had a right to present and sell these packages to a buyer. I said that she was taken advantage of . He kept on stating that it was legal. I asked if they would have sold his Mother these packages. He had no response. My thought is this: just because you CAN oversell an elderly person, it doesn’t mean you should. It’s not ethical. But the almighty commission dollars overtook their ethics! Don’t go to Empire and meet with Joe to sign purchase papers without back up, unless you are confident in your negotiation abilities. Better yet, buy ELSWHERE!! More

When I walked thru the doors of Empire Hyundai in Fall River thats when. the assumed dreadful day came after a long 3 week process of being told my w When I walked thru the doors of Empire Hyundai in Fall River thats when. the assumed dreadful day came after a long 3 week process of being told my wife's car that she purchased only 2 years ago (from another local but will remain unnamed dealership) has a bad motor after having problems since we got it. Did multiple dealerships in the area and all were outshined by our sales associate Mackenzie and the rest of the team. From being greeted in the rain last week by SALES MANAGER Michael we could already tell things were going to be better then the last dealership that stared at us on the lot just trying to look at some of what they had. Told him I needed a nice no pressure sales associate as my wife has already had a hard time with the previous few. THATS WHERE MACKENZIE MADE THIS AN EXPERIENCE THAT HAS EARNED ME AS A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! Byfar night and day between any other sales associate we have spent time with. She made it feel as it was our direct needs to be met and keep us happy rather then the "im just selling you whatever car I can make the most money on". Sat us down, actually listened to my wife I barely even had to talk, and by my surprise said she had several options she wanted to show us. Several? Its raining out just bring it up on the computer or something. "Don't be silly let me pull a few up which one would you like to see first?" 3rd car in Mackenzie was spot on... a beautiful white, low mile VW Tiguan. Wife's eyes lit up seeing it. Walked her thru the countless features and upgrades the car had over her traded vehicle..... this was the one... but i cant afford a VW! Thats when part 3 of me being mind-blown came in. This voice came over the intercom requesting Mackenzie to bring us to the finance office, the moment ive been dreading, had preliminary payments worked out a little but but higher then what i wanted to be at by a little, but asked what they could do. The smile on Joe's face when he got to shake my hand and tell me we are better then expected. Joe went out of his way, worked a few things for us the best that he could for our situation and got us an approval, WITH WARRANTY WHICH I 100% support anyone buying if affordable, for less money then what i originally went in the office for. Explained my interest rate, the 2 offers i had on the vehicle by the different banks, and which i felt more comfortable with since they were close. Never thought id leave a car dealership accomplished as well as actually happy to make this big of a purchase. If it was not for Joe or Mackenzie im not sure if I would have even bought her a new car and just given her mine. Highly recommend both of them and will continue to do so, and maybe back sooner then I think to trade in mine. More

Got a good deal on the car but that’s we’re my satisfaction level stopped. Ronnie was very pushy. Not very communicative. Had to come to the dealership a week later after receiving my car to pick satisfaction level stopped. Ronnie was very pushy. Not very communicative. Had to come to the dealership a week later after receiving my car to pick up paperwork that was suppose to be done when I picked the car up. Ronnie also made no effort to show any features on the car or anything so I feel like as soon as Ronnie had the sale. His help pretty much stopped. I don’t believe I will recommend someone here in the future. Joe the finance manager was great and your inventory specialist was great. But I will not, I repeat not send anyone to Ronnie. More
