I bought a used car fro I hope this post saves you money. Do not go here. I work in finance, and I understand how proper business is conducted. I bought a used car from this dealership. After waiting TWO AND A HALF HOURS after finalizing a deal, I finally saw the finance manager who put the final quote in front of me again, and I signed it. It showed the price we had agreed to plus $1500 of "government fees". I figured the government fees were non-negotiable and standard cost of business, so I didn't question it and moved on. I checked that the totals on all the papers I was signing matched the quote that he had put in front of me when we started. All lined up. It wasn't until I got home and read the fine print on page 10 or so of the documents, that the actual government fees were only $500, and they had allocated another $1000 to "car appliances cash value." I called them out the next day, and he claimed "I didn't know that wasn't the deal between you and the manager." THAT WAS NEVER THE DEAL AT ANY POINT IN DISCUSSIONS. THE PAPER HE PUT IN FRONT OF ME DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THAT LISTED. HE SHOWED ME ONE THING, AND CHARGED ME FOR ANOTHER. I understand used car salesmen can be slimy, but this is straight up illegal. They must have known I could have pursued legal action because they immediately printed a new contract for the correct amount WITHOUT the $1000 of car appliances and only $500 of government fees. When I went in to sign the new contract, I got no apology that they had screwed up, nothing. They had no good explanation for what happened, and played ignorant. Again, even if it was a mistake (which it CLEARLY was not), that means they blatantly screwed up the price, and I got no apology or anything for having to drive back to Glendale the next day. Terrible customer experience. This is clearly a routine operation they run, and I'm sure they unfortunately get victims all the time. Please don't be a victim. More
