I bought a pre-owned certified 2022 Tiguan in 11/2024. Months later an engine light came on, code PO491 (secondary air insufficient flow) They claimed they fixed it, but the light is back on giving th Months later an engine light came on, code PO491 (secondary air insufficient flow) They claimed they fixed it, but the light is back on giving the same code P0491, current mileage is 46,000 (est). 02/14/2026 I took it back up there and now they are denying my warranty coverage claiming cylinder failure and trying to charge me $6460.95. My diagnostic codes are P0491 secondary air injection system failure, not a cylinder failure (P030X). This is an emissions system issue and should be federally covered. Denial of coverage violates federal emissions law. This dealership is practicing fraudulent repair estimate, warranty denial, deceptive trade practices consumer fraud, and false representation. Do your due diligence when picking a dealership. More
