In July of this year, I decided to purchase a Toyota RAV4 Hybrid from DCH Freehold Toyota. After going through a car accident, it was especially important for me to buy a good, reliable, and safe vehicle Hybrid from DCH Freehold Toyota. After going through a car accident, it was especially important for me to buy a good, reliable, and safe vehicle — one that would help me feel calm and confident behind the wheel again. That is exactly why I chose Toyota, a brand I had always associated with quality and reliability. Unfortunately, almost from the very first days after my purchase, my experience turned out to be completely different from what I expected. About three days after purchasing the vehicle, when I had already been driving it for several days, I received a call from the dealership informing me that the bank that had originally handled the financing had not approved the loan. I was asked to come back to the dealership and sign new documents with a different bank. This was very strange to me because I had been under the impression that the transaction was already complete and the financing had been approved. But the problems did not end there. From the beginning, I was unable to properly connect my phone to the vehicle’s screen and multimedia system. I returned to the dealership, and one of the employees tried to help me, but he was unable to get it working either. I was told that they would look into the issue and call me back. However, about two weeks have passed, and no one has contacted me. Then a much more serious problem occurred — my brand-new car simply would not start. I contacted Toyota Roadside Assistance, and they sent AAA to help me. They were able to start the vehicle, and I was told that perhaps I had accidentally left something on, causing the battery to drain. However, I carefully checked everything, and nothing had been left on. A few days later, the same thing happened again: the car would not start. After contacting Roadside Assistance again, the vehicle was taken to DCH Freehold Toyota. Later, I received a call saying that my car was ready and that I could come pick it up. I made the trip from Philadelphia to Freehold specifically to pick up my vehicle, assuming that it had been properly inspected and the problem had been fixed. But when I arrived, I could not take my car home because it would not start again. I simply do not understand how I could have been told that my vehicle was ready for pickup without anyone first making sure that it actually started and was functioning properly. As a result, I wasted my time traveling from Philadelphia to Freehold and back for nothing. In a very short period of time after purchasing this vehicle, I have had to deal with redoing the financing paperwork, problems with the multimedia system, a lack of promised follow-up, multiple instances of my brand-new car not starting, repeated calls to Roadside Assistance, and multiple trips to the dealership. All of this has caused me a great deal of inconvenience, wasted time, additional expenses, lateness and problems at work, and most importantly, a lot of stress and frustration. This was a major and expensive purchase for me, and I made this decision specifically because I wanted reliability and safety after my accident. I chose Toyota because I wanted to feel calm, safe, and confident behind the wheel again. Unfortunately, I am experiencing exactly the opposite. Instead of enjoying my new car, I feel extremely disappointed, and I am already beginning to develop negative feelings toward the vehicle that I purchased specifically to help me regain my sense of safety and peace of mind. I sincerely hope that Toyota and DCH Freehold Toyota will identify the actual cause of the problem, fully resolve the issues with my vehicle, and change my overall impression of this purchase. Once this situation is fully resolved, I will definitely update my review. More
