WORST VIPER CERTIFIED DEALER YOU CAN TAKE YOUR VIPER TO!!! I dropped my 2006 Dodge Viper with 14,000 miles off at Cherry Hill Dodge on 7/23/18. My appointment was for first thing 7/24. I drove over an hour to I dropped my 2006 Dodge Viper with 14,000 miles off at Cherry Hill Dodge on 7/23/18. My appointment was for first thing 7/24. I drove over an hour to this dealership because they are one of the selected few dealerships that are "Viper Certified". I brought the car in to check on a noise in the rear end, check to see if the AC was blowing hard enough, and do an overall inspection of the entire vehicle to make sure it was safe and mechanically sound. As soon as I left me keys, I was informed by a service adviser that they only have 1 Viper technician available and he was leaving on vacation for 2 weeks starting on 7/26. On Tuesday 7/24/18, the date of my appointment, I did not receive one phone car or update. Wednesday 7/25, I called for an update and the service adviser told me that his Viper Tech was super busy and unable to get to my car, so your car will sit for 2 weeks or I need to come pick it up. Considering I drove an hour with 2 vehicles and brought my car early, I was not happy with there response. I asked to speak to the service manager Chris to give me a better resolution. After speaking to Chris, he apologized for the miscommunication and poor scheduling made by his dealership. He stated he would "do his best" to have the Viper Tech look at my car and resolve my issues before he leaves on vacation. Later on Wednesday 7/25, Chris called me back and stated the Viper tech test drove the car and heard the noise but had no diagnosis which was kind of useless in my opinion. Chris then informed me that his only Viper tech did not have anymore time to look into it but assured me is best Non-Viper Certified tech would look into the issue and come up with a full inspection and troubleshoot the issue. Thursday 7/26, I received another phone call from Chris the service manager stating everything on the vehicle checked out ok by his non-viper technician. He said the noise was "normal" and the rest of the car looked "absolutely perfect!" He told me it was ready for pick up. Friday 7/27, I drove an hour to pick up my vehicle and my only request before I gave them my keys was that I wanted to car to be kept inside and not left in the rain or left outside. When I picked up my vehicle, it was outside in the parking lot and filthy after I just had it professionally detailed. I paid my invoice in full to get my keys and noticed my tank was on complete empty. I slowly drove to the nearest gas station and noticed the car was running extremely poor and puffing smoke from the passenger side exhaust pipe. After fueling up, I immediately went back to the dealership to address the problem. I asked to speak to Chris the service manager but he was not there.I asked tot speak to the last person who drove the vehicle and it ended up being a non-Viper certified tech named Norm. Norm comes to the service desk and states that the car ran poor when it was given to him, but failed to let anybody know about it including Chris the service manager. I refused to drive the car home as it was not driveable and demanded it be looked at and fixed because the car was dropped of running perfect and I was informed by Chris the service manager that the car was perfect and ready for pick up not even 24 hours prior. Saturday 7/28, I receive a phone call by Chris stating he knew nothing about vehicle running poor. After telling me on Thursday that the car was "perfect" and ready for pick up, he is now implying as if I drove the car to his dealership broken. After speaking to Norm and confirming that the car ran perfect when original Viper Certified tech drove it and then when Norm drove it, it had an issue, Chris understood that I didn't bring him a broken car. I told Chris the problem seemed ignition related and to check the coils and spark plugs. He told me he would look into it and get back to me on Monday. Monday 7/30, no phone call or any updates. Tuesday 7/31, I received a phone call with Chris and he was still looking into problem but had no solution. Again, I tell him to look at spark plug wires and coils. Wednesday, I call Chris and I was getting fed up and just order new coils and go from there. At this point, his technicians were either stumped or never looked at the car and I didn't want the car just sitting around. Thursday 8/2, I called Chris to cancel the coils as I wasn't waiting 4 more days to get in and I would just come pick up the car and deal with it myself since the car was getting neglected and the only guy who knows how to work on this car was on vacation. I told Chris that morning to please check the plug wires again before I make arrangements to get the car towed by to PA which was going to cost me hundreds of dollars. Later that Thursday at 4:45 PM, I called the dealership since I never received a call back from Chris in reference to checking my spark plugs. After waiting on hold for almost an hour, I found out that the service department was closed and everybody in service went home. At this point nobody even knew where my car or keys were. I finally got in touch with a salesman named Jose who stated he has my keys and would wait till 7:30 PM for my transporter. At 7:30 PM sharp, my transporter picked up my vehicle and noticed right away that the spark plug wires were melted from sitting on the exhaust and damaged causing the car to run poorly. Basically the bottom line is that, they either never looked at my car or there techs could not figure out a spark plug wire issue but a car transported looked at in in 30 seconds and diagnosed the vehicle. The bottom line is that I drove an hour from Pennsylvania to New Jersey to have a "Viper Certified Technician" to diagnose an issue. That tech spent 2 minutes driving my car and all he did us say he heard the noise I was talking about and passed it off tot he next guy. The rest of the inspection was done by a regular Dodge tech and which handed me back a broken car but making sure they charged me first. How can my car be perfect and ready for pick up on Thursday and then by Friday, I am given back a broken car that they knew wasn't right. This service I paid for was supposed to be by a Viper tech and I did not receive service by the technician that I paid for. I contacted Chris again on Friday 8/3 and he wasn't available. I spoke to a service adviser and let them know what was going on and to have Chris call me back. As of today 8/10, he never returned my call. More
