This is my second Subaru that I have purchased from Carter Subaru in Shoreline with John Sylvester help. I had such a great experience with him the first time I was pleased when I found out he was stil Carter Subaru in Shoreline with John Sylvester help. I had such a great experience with him the first time I was pleased when I found out he was still with the dealer. Both Carter Subaru in Shoreline and John Sylvester are the best. Easy to communicate with, no pressure purchasing, easy transition and great customer service. I highly recommend the dealership, salesperson and finance person! More

John was excellent throughout the purchase process. Post-purchase, he’s made himself available for follow-up questions and has proactively reached out to provide updates. That said, I rated the dealership overall at 3/5 stars as I feel there was an attempt by the financing department to increase the interest rate on my loan by 100bps immediately prior to signing. When I pushed finance on this, there was suddenly / miraculously a deal being offered by Chase which brought my rate down to what was originally communicated for me (for what was assumed to be my credit rating). This move by finance is something I will openly share with any potential buyer who inquiries about my experience at Carter. More

John Sylvester sold us a 2014 Subaru and when we walked in to test drive another, he immediately recognized us and provided the high quality service we remembered the last time. John is personable, friendl in to test drive another, he immediately recognized us and provided the high quality service we remembered the last time. John is personable, friendly, warm, knowledgable and very knowledgable, even giving out his personal cell phone number in case we discovered any issues. He did this without using the high pressure sales tactics that is all too common to the car dealership industry. John said "You have me for life". Agreed! More
