I was able to up grade my 2013 Civic LX to a 2015 EX and got a great deal and they worked with me to keep my lease payments in my ball park. I did not have to spend hours haggling prices. I told them where I wanted to be in lease payments and they did a great job getting me there without a lot of money out of pocket. I stepped into the dealership at 11:15am and was in my new shinny car by 2:15pm with a full tank of gas and got all the instructions on how to operate all the new features. They even threw an accessory I wanted at no charge. Can't beat the great customer service, the compasion and the respect they gave me while I was there. They treat you like family. This is my third experience with this dealer and I will go back! More

Classic case of why people dislike car dealers I bought a certified pre-owned vehicle from Honda of Ocala three days ago. I will start with summarizing my car buying experience and recommendation, I bought a certified pre-owned vehicle from Honda of Ocala three days ago. I will start with summarizing my car buying experience and recommendation, and then give more details. I would NOT recommend buying from Honda of Ocala. Even though the internet salesman, David Newcomer, was nice and accommodating, other managers and the Finance guy turned the overall experience into a nightmare for me. First of all, my appointment with David was at 3 PM, and by the time we left it was 9 PM!!!. I now see that this is their strategy to wear you down and make you overlook details of your deal. I was preapproved for the best rate from CampusUSA, and even though I gave them the preapproval letter at the very beginning, they tried to give me a higher interest rate from another institution! It was already 8:30 PM when the finance guy accepted into his office; when I objected to the higher interest rate, he said I would have to leave and come back later with a check from Campus USA if I want to go with them! Note that CampusUSA is one of their institutions they get financing from directly! By the time the manager agreed to give me the same rate on my preapproval letter, the finance guy rushed the papers and the whole signing of pages and pages of documents were done in 10 minutes! When I got home, I noticed that there was a huge gap between the interest rate and the APR on the papers I signed. Naturally, I called the next day to ask about this, which brings me to my seconds issue with the Dealership: The management neither wants to hear from you again, nor cares about your concerns/questions once you sign the papers and leave with the new car. When I called back the next day to clarify financing conditions they made me sign in a rush, the manager who picked up the phone was very rude and rushed to end the conversation. He made me feel as if I was a burden and a waste of his time. The third biggest issue is that they don’t stand by the prices and specials they put on their OWN WEBSITE! The car I bought was advertised at $15,000 on their website, and they first tried to sell it to me at $15,600; they said “oh, $15,000 was put online by accident”! In addition, they gave for my 15 years old Mazda the bare minimum for trade-in; KBB trade in price for the same mileage same condition was $1000, they offered me only $500! When I showed them their $500 trade-in special advertised on their OWN WEBSITE and asked them to add that on the trade-in price, they said “well, that is only for people who don’t have a trade-in vehicle”. It makes no sense, why do you call it trade-in assistance if it is cash assistance for people with no trade-ins! They put specials on their website to draw people in to the dealership and then find a way to get out of their word. So overall, they did not let any negotiation on the price, they gave me lower than what my trade-in was valued at, and they did not honor their internet special. Honda of Ocala is an example of why people don’t like car dealers; by the time it was time to sign the deal, 6 hours have passed, I was almost passing out of low blood sugar and I just wanted to sign the papers and get out of there. I now regret buying from them. More

I bought a new 2011 CR-V EX-L today from Honda of Ocala. (I think now is the best time to buy a new Honda.) Honda of Ocala had a huge stock of CR-Vs for sale, so I had my pick of color/interior I wanted. Ramy met me outside immediately and was friendly and happy to show me the Honda I was interested in. Because I live out of state, Ramy helped me through the whole insurance process making sure I was informed and OK once I got back home. After haggling a bit back and forth, they gave me a good deal on the vehicle. Free lunch was a plus too. It's too bad I live out of state because their waiting room looked like a place I would want to wait to have my car serviced. Everyone was definitely friendly and looked happy to be working there. Overall it was a very good buying experience. My only recommendation would be for the internet sales people to update and check vehicle listings their website, as not all the information was provided on each car listing when I was initially researching Hondas.
