One of the most frustrating car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. For over a week, I was in regular contact with a salesperson named John regarding a 2018 Tesla Model X that Audi Pasadena was preparing ever had. For over a week, I was in regular contact with a salesperson named John regarding a 2018 Tesla Model X that Audi Pasadena was preparing for sale. I repeatedly expressed my interest in purchasing the vehicle and even asked to leave a deposit, but was told the dealership does not accept deposits. Throughout the process, I was given multiple updates about repairs and when the vehicle would be ready. The first time I was told it was ready, I immediately prepared to buy it, only to be told moments later that it had been sold. The next day, John informed me that the deal had actually fallen through because the other buyer’s financing was not approved. I again confirmed that I was ready to purchase the vehicle and even offered to buy it with cash over the phone. I was then told the vehicle still needed a sensor repair and would be ready on Monday. On Monday morning, John texted me that the vehicle was ready and specifically told me they were waiting for us. Based on that confirmation, my wife began the 1.5-hour drive to the dealership. After she had already been driving for over an hour, John sent another text saying the vehicle had been sold. Think about that for a moment: after more than a week of communication, after being told the car was ready, after confirming we were on our way, and after my wife had already spent over an hour driving to the dealership, they sold the vehicle to someone else. Whether this was poor communication, poor management, or a lack of concern for customers, the result is the same: our time was completely wasted. If Audi Pasadena had no intention of holding the vehicle even long enough for a confirmed customer to arrive, they should have been honest from the beginning. I understand dealerships want to sell cars, but basic professionalism and respect for a customer’s time should not be too much to ask. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Audi Pasadena. Complicated my down payment way too much. In the purchase of a 2024 Audi SQ5, I submitted a 40k down payment which a month and a half later has neither been applied to my loan account nor be In the purchase of a 2024 Audi SQ5, I submitted a 40k down payment which a month and a half later has neither been applied to my loan account nor been refunded to me, so that I can resubmit the same payment. Sebastian and John were very friendly and helpful; however, I am still waiting for the finance manager to resolve the down payment matter. Had these complications been prevented by the finance manager, my experience with this dealership would have been a very positive one. More
