Hi Pierre, I apologize for the frustration you’re feeling, but I do want to clarify that we did not blow you off. We explained that due to the age of the vehicle, it was likely we would need additional time to complete this recall. Our staff attempted to find another day that would work for you to leave the vehicle with us, but it appears we were unable to find an option that fit your schedule. I also apologize that the receptionist did not accurately explain the amount of time required for this recall. As this particular recall is more than ten years old, it is not one she has seen before and was not fully aware of the process. If you would like to set up another appointment, please feel free to call me directly. We will need the vehicle for 1–2 days, and this recall does include a rental vehicle for up to two days if that would be helpful. You blew us off. When we made the appointment, we were told that the part would be on hand and we could wait for the car. We came from Block Island which requires boat reservations and lots of juggling. I got MULTIBLE texts reminding me of the appointment yet when my wife got there she was told you couldn't take the car and wouldn't give a firm date in the future. I ran an airplane and helicopter repair shop for 30 years and was recruited by one the manufactures that we represented and ran their cousomer support department for 20 years. My wife ran several of her own businesses including managing an apartment complex, What we got from you was not customer support. Since you sent all the reminders of our appointment if there was going to be a problem you could have warned us. I also have spent the last 50 years as a mechanic and I know that all a technician had to do was walk out and look under the car to determine if it needed the part ordered, I looked up the recall so I can tell when I'm being bullsh**d. Not only that that the person she talked to was a jerk.
