DECEPTIVE PRACTICES -- Don't be scammed A sales mgr. and a finance guy at Ron Tirapelli Ford repeatedly lied to and misled my daughter and son in law -- tricking them into thinking they had A sales mgr. and a finance guy at Ron Tirapelli Ford repeatedly lied to and misled my daughter and son in law -- tricking them into thinking they had bought a used car; after signing the bill of sale contract, financing and other documents -- sent them on their way thinking it was a done deal. They insured the vehicle, put aftermarket floor mats in it and showed us the car as proud new owners. In the days to come after the sale. These two decievers began calling and texting messages "bring the vehicle and the paperwork back because we have a better deal for you." Another message was "bring back the vehicle because you forgot to sign some things." I told them not to fall for it. After about a week the message changed to "you don't actually own the vehicle -- bring it back or we'll get the police involved." I went to the dealership with my daughter and son in law and we explained the situation to the other sales mgr. who had the finance guy void out all the paperwork having returned the vehicle. Shame on these shysters for lying to a young honest couple who were trying to buy their first used vehicle together. Ron Tirapelli has some house cleaning to take of. Fortunately for Chicago-land and the surrounding cities there's no shortage of other more reputable dealerships to do business with. More
