Perhaps Portland Volvo’s sales process is the way all cars should be sold. I had contacted the salesman, Andrew, via email and phone before visiting the dealership to check out the car. He confirmed th cars should be sold. I had contacted the salesman, Andrew, via email and phone before visiting the dealership to check out the car. He confirmed that the car was still available and that he would be there at the time I suggested I could get there. He was. He showed the car and explained the various systems, offered a test route and, having taken my info, handed me the keys and let me go. Upon return, having not found anything lacking in the vehicle, he turned my vehicle over to his manager for determining a trade value. He explained the one price process and showed me what the bill of sale would come to and what each of the charges were. The manager adjusted the trade value a bit at my request, and we came to an agreement. Paperwork was produced, a deposit made and the rest of the process explained. I returned a couple days later with the bank check. Andrew had the car prepped and ready. Gail, the finance person, went through all the paperwork without trying to upsell me. That included filling out a MA registry and title form, which my insurance agent later remarked was correctly done. The car was fueled and charged and ready to go. Andrew spent some further time with some other of the details of the car’s systems, offered his further support should I need it and I was off. All in all this was a much simpler and more pleasant process than the last car I had purchased. I would give all a 5 out of 5 stars. More

I can’t say enough good things about Michael Pierter. His knowledge of the product is second to none. He listens to your needs and wants and can fit you to the right Volvo. After you purchase your vehicl His knowledge of the product is second to none. He listens to your needs and wants and can fit you to the right Volvo. After you purchase your vehicle he will always remember who you are and what you bought. I have purchased several Volvos from him over the years and will continue to in the future. He has always been honest and straight forward which in my opinion are amazing qualities to have not only in car sales but in life. He has them in both. More

I went in and purchased a new Volvo XC90 in less than 3 hours, paid cash and drove it home that day. I'd say I was an easy customer! Shortly after I experienced computer issues. I took it for service at hours, paid cash and drove it home that day. I'd say I was an easy customer! Shortly after I experienced computer issues. I took it for service at a local Volvo dealer. (Great service!). The problem returned with additional computer issues. ( Actually going back for the 4th time next week) I decided to call Portland Volvo, I called the service department 2 days in a row, no answer! I decided to call the salesman, I just wanted to know if this was a common problem with this particular model. I left 2 messages for the salesman, no response. I called the Sales Manager, had a great conversation with him. He actually told me to bring the car for service at Lovering Volvo because they have great reputation and are closer to me. He assured me he would check with his service staff and get back to me. That didn't happen! I called and left him voice mail and still no return call. Customer service at its worse! I am sorry there is not an option to give zero stars, but I had to choose 1 star. More

Overall, excellent experience. Mike was super knowledgeable and very thorough. He answered all of our questions with confidence and was patient during the process.
