After paying $4000+ for an extended warranty that "is exactly as the original warranty, bumper to bumper and covers all", this dealer weasled out of 3 of 4 service visits claiming "not covered". On top of that their Techs kept my car for over a month at one time to clear some noise from engine, OVER A MONTH! Lately they did some repair work and charged me over $1100.00 for it. This turned to be a recall and BMW North America contacted me to get in touch with dealer for a refund, this dealer rejected refund citing that since this is a federally mandated recal it has nothing to do with them and I have to contact BMW. This dealer is trouble and a waste of time and money, stay away! More

Wanted to write a quick note to say how great working with Lonnie Overby with BMW of Silver Spring. He was extremely easy to work, was very honest, and did not pressure me. More importantly Lonnie went with Lonnie Overby with BMW of Silver Spring. He was extremely easy to work, was very honest, and did not pressure me. More importantly Lonnie went out of his way to make sure my needs were taken care of. After I bought the car – the service didn’t end there. There was a minor problem that needed the BMW service center’s attention – he took care of the problem quickly and didn’t charge me. It was a used car and he didn’t have to do that – but did it anyway. 5 Stars! If you are in the market for a BMW in the DC Metro area – call Lonnie! Mary More

This dealership has been taking care of our BMWs for more than 7 years. We currently have 4 in our family. Over the sen + years we have gotten to know several of the folks. The individual I am talking abo than 7 years. We currently have 4 in our family. Over the sen + years we have gotten to know several of the folks. The individual I am talking about today however is Chris Allen who is a sales associate and the individual i purchased my new '12 Z4 from in June of this year. He is one of the most knowledgeable people regarding BMW and speaks plain english so you don;t feel intimidated. There is no sales pressure to buy and leaves the timing up to you. His follow-up skills are excellent and after sale he is always available to talk to you if you have a question. He is an outstanding professional and I am sure Silver Spring BMW is very proud of him. More

I drove all the way to this dealer because of the poor service I received from VOB BMW. And because of the highly acclaimed customer service of the Silver Spring BMW, I figured it was worth the drive. Un service I received from VOB BMW. And because of the highly acclaimed customer service of the Silver Spring BMW, I figured it was worth the drive. Unfortunately, I was proven wrong. I had a waiting time of 45 minutes and when my service advisor did come, there was no introduction, handshake, or small talk. The only remotely friendly people were the service receptionists. Hopefully they can just get the job done right. At least they have Wimbledon showing on the back TV... I also signed up for the appointment online and said that I would be waiting for my car but after talking to my service advisor, it sounded like I was doing a drop off. Let's see how long I'll be waiting. I hope I won't have to leave a complaint with corporate like I did with VOB BMW. This is looking kind of hopeless but I may have to find yet another service advisor or dealer... ---Update--- The above was written after I dropped off my car and was waiting for the service to be done. After spending about 2 hours in the dealership, I was approached by Ron Ptak. It was very fortunate that we bumped into each other because he changed my initial impressions and showed me what customer care is really like. Given my unique situation, all I wanted was the same respect and courtesy as any other BMW owner would receive. Without a doubt, Ron showed me just that. I had only wished every service advisor was like him. He took care of me and walked me through every step of the way as well as possible options at each step. Although he had some problems with his equipment that further delayed service, I completely understood and thought it was very reasonable because I felt so comfortable. Although my problem was not fixed due to the nature of the problem, I will definitely be returning to get my car serviced here after I figure out logistical issues. All in all, I highly recommend Ron Ptak and his service department. More

First let me say that I thouroughly enjoyed working with Conrad Connor, my client advisor. Never have I had such an enjoyable car purchase experience. I should have bought all of my cars here!!! Mr. Connor was wonderful in that he was knowledgeable about what was going on and put both my wife and I at ease. Conrad also reintroduced me to Joe Diss in the service area who in the past helped me with my service isses on another BMW I owned (sorry I didn't buy that from you guys). Again this was a wonderful purchase experience and I really appreciate what Conrad and Joe did for me. More

I absolutley LOVE my BMW Silver Spring service team. Every one is extremely professional, friendly and team oriented. While the service is great the helpfullness of the service advisors is poor. My service advisor was helping one person and two other customers were waiting. I noticed there were two advisors with no service advisors is poor. My service advisor was helping one person and two other customers were waiting. I noticed there were two advisors with no customers that could have helped customers but neither of the available service advisors offered to help us. This is bad customer service. No matter who the customers assigned advisor is if another advisor is available/free customers should always be helped. This practice needs to be fixed. I received better service at other dealerships. More
