Was in the market for a newer truck and spotted a chevy Silverado on the used lot so i decided to have a look after Baylee reached out to me. Once I got there I worked with Jim miller and took it for a tes Silverado on the used lot so i decided to have a look after Baylee reached out to me. Once I got there I worked with Jim miller and took it for a test drive. The truck ran smooth and aside from the normal wear on the body it stood as a good deal for what was being offered to me with my trade in. I understand tires are a persons preference on any vehicle but these tires did seem to be on the low side and would not be good for winter I did bring this up at the time of purchase and kind of got shrugged off like its not their problem the tires are kind low on the tread. (Not a deal breaker ill get tires before the winter.) proceeded to purchase the truck and after being promised the truck was looked over good and had a fresh oil change I left the dealer satisfied until I went to get it inspected..... Went through the truck information screen to find the oil change percent was at %73 interesting and no oil sticker.... sure I can change my own oil. Just hate that i either i got played or the dealership certified tech forgot to put a oil change sticker on the windshield and didn't reset the oil life.. Then with that i had to get a second opinion. and brought it into a trusted mechanic shop that I go to all the time for jobs to big for me. They pointed out my transmission cooler lines are wet and that can indicate they will go bad soon especially with a truck at 77k miles and some other minor issues with suspension but I can deal with those when they arise. I informed Jim of my findings and he said bring it back it will be done under warranty with my truck well within the 30 days of purchase. I scheduled an appointment and got treated very well with a free car loaner as they look over my truck. The next day they said well your lines are wet but they are just seeping and there is no need for me the buyer to change them. Seeping is common on these trucks and they personally wont not change them just for seeping and for me to just keep an eye on the lines and they aren't even expensive to replace at the shop its just 1k parts and labor so just hold out till they actually break.... WOW.... well this used car manager doesn't know that i used to be a car mechanic and i still work on cars to this day and seeping is not ok on any lines and should be replaced and that you can recommend them to be replaced but not necessary if you don't want to at this time but i did in fact want them replaced that's why i brought my truck back in the first place. All in all they are friendly, great customer service, easy to work with, and will hear you out but don't want to own up to the mistakes they made and don't want to correct the mistake they made and in this case I believe no oil change was done, did not fully look over the truck before selling, and wont fix what the customer wanted fixed if its within the 30 day purchase and under warranty just wait it out till they break and bring your vehicle back and pay to get it fixed. Sorry Maplewood Toyota but for your reputation I expected better. Update I have reached out to the GSM Mr. Beedy and no response from him after he told me to reach out. More stars going down Update #2 Got a call after I gave them a horrible review trying to back pedal about fixing my truck and I have to say what a class act Maplewood Toyota is. Well in the 30 day or purchase they still give me the run around on not fixing my lines. Called me a lair that the sales guy Jim miller would never tell me the lines will be under warranty and to set an appointment to get them fixed. Why would I waste my time to drive 1 hour away to drop my truck off and get a rental only to be told they wont fix it... That is a waste of both our time so why would I even try to make that attempt? That makes not sense to anyone and no one would waste their own time to drive 1 hour out of their way just to get denied service and for their vehicle not to be fixed. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE A C More
