If I could give zero stars I would. I have never been treated so poorly by a business in my life. I had my appointment on Tuesday October 1st at 9AM. When I arrived I told Nathalie the I have never been treated so poorly by a business in my life. I had my appointment on Tuesday October 1st at 9AM. When I arrived I told Nathalie the three issues I was having with my car, which was that: I needed my oil changed (the reason for the appointment), that I had a lot of warning lights on but that nothing looked or sounded wrong with my car under the hood, other than my third issue which was that the windshield wiper fluid was not coming out. The windshield wiper fluid not coming out was caused by its hose cracking and falling apart from the heat this summer. The disconnected line was and still is immediately visible the moment you open the hood. Nathalie proceeded to speak very quickly despite there being no line behind me, and so was very hard to understand. When I asked her to repeat herself at points, I had eyes rolled at me and she spoke even faster, as though to repeat herself was a huge inconvenience. Because of this, I missed the fact that diagnosing the warning lights issue and the windshield wiper fluid issue would be two different diagnosing charges, $200 each. Which is frankly ridiculous given the windshield wiper issue that I described above could have been figured out by a child. The hose is disconnected, obviously fluid can not pass through it. In the midst of this, Nathalie also mentioned there was a recall on my cars battery, and she asked if I would like to replace that for free on the same day. I said yes. In the end, I signed to these charges under what I now feel was duress, as I felt pressured by Nathalie to agree and get out of her way. Then, I waited for an hour for the courtesy vehicle to arrive. Once at my location, another two hours went by before I got the call back from Nathalie that the diagnosis was complete and that a sensor was bad in my back tire, which was causing all the warning lights. The dealership did not have the sensor available to replace it, and I was flying out that evening so I was unable to keep my car there and wait for it to arrive. This happens, I'm not upset about this. Next on the call, I was asked about replacing the Transmission and Brake fluid in my car, but I had just replaced these myself a few days prior. This leaves me to assume the mechanic was basing this assessment off the fact I had no recent history at a Toyota dealership, rather than actually looking at the vehicle itself. I wonder what my $400 diagnostic was for? I declined this repair. Then, I was asked if I wanted to pay another $200 to replace the rubber hose. Which is such an insane price to charge that I have to only assume that it was a bad joke on her part, or I was singled out as an idiot woman who doesn't know enough about cars, and so I would accept such an egregious charge. I am assuming the former in order to keep my temper. For reference, I had that same hose replaced in the summer of 2023 (again after it disintegrated in the summer due to the heat) at a different mechanic for $15. I declined to have my hose replaced. This left the oil change and car battery recall. I agreed to these repairs, and then waited for the call to come back. Which when I received it, I called an Uber to pick myself up, as I was not going to wait another hour for the oxymoronically named courtesy vehicle to arrive. As I wrote above, I had a flight to catch that evening so I paid, hopped in my car, then drove to park my car and catch my flight. I did not have the slow startup to the computer system in the car that is usual after the battery is disconnected, so I peeked under the hood before leaving for the airport and saw the old battery was still there. So, I paid $509.63 for what I hope was at least an oil change, but I guess I don't have any proof that this occurred either.... Oh, and $16.94 for my Uber. I reached out to the dealership for a partial refund which they agreed to, but then never sent. DO NOT GO HERE. More
