All my buying needs were met, financing was made understandable and the overall description of my vehicle was thoroughly explained even with numerous questions. Watch Out For Last Minute Hidden Fees My first interaction with Mohawk Honda came from online research. Scott Risley gave me an initial vehicle estimate and scheduled me an appointment for a test drive. I visited Mohawk Honda four times in two weeks over the course of my buying experience. Lindsey Haraden, my sales consultant was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to provide me multiple test drives and make my buying experience as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately, working with Mohawk Honda management, my purchase was unnecessarily delayed on multiple dates for a variety of reasons. Mohawk Honda did not have the exact vehicle I was looking for in stock. My vehicle took several days to find, deliver, equip, and prepare for turnover. My trade-in vehicle was not given proper consideration on my first visit. On my second visit, after an extended test drive, it took another two hours for Mohawk Honda management to come to terms with, and agree upon a trade-in price for my used car. We then finally agreed upon a down payment amount with financing which also included any other tax, registration, or other fees. It was at this time the question was asked, will there be any other additional fees or costs before I could take possession of the vehicle. I was assured by multiple sales and finance managers that there would be no additional fees or surprises before I could take delivery. Unfortunately however Mohawk Honda then hit me with a last minute additional $95 bank loan financing fee on the same day I was supposed to pick up my new vehicle. I refused to pay the last minute hidden fees and it took Mohawk Honda Management another two hours to correctly process the revised paperwork, minus the hidden fee. I was finally able to take possession of my new CR-V EX-L AWD w/ Navigation. The delivery coordinator Derek Lahut was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job reviewing the vehicle bumper to bumper including all the electronics. The vehicle looked great and I was very happy to finally be on my way. ______________________________ My response to the response sent by Mohawk Honda and Jeff Haraden: Jeff Haraden, If you had bothered to actually read my review you would have seen my negative criticism was in no way directed at Lindsey, Scott, or Derek, but rather the sales and financing managers who I intentionally left unnamed as a courtesy. It was the sales and financing managers who failed to disclose the last minute hidden financing fee which resulted in the negative review. Last Saturday I was very clear in my questions regarding any other last minute fees or charges in addition to my final agreed upon down payment. I was reassured by multiple managers that there would be no additional charges. I have no doubt Mohawk Honda hits all their customers with these or other last minute hidden charges. In my case however I was fortunate enough to be in a position where I could walk away and cancel the deal if the problem was not corrected. Other customers I have no doubt simply pay the last minute additional hidden fees out of necessity. ____________________ My Additional Response after Mohawk Honda offered me 3 free vehicle services in exchange for removing this online review. Please see below… Lindsey, Because of you my experience with Mohawk Honda was mostly a positive one. Please do not feel the need to apologize for other people’s mistakes. While I am sure Mohawk Honda believes they are being generous by offering me a few free services, I think they are totally missing the bigger picture as to why I was so disappointed with them. In my case specifically, a $95 surprise additional fee after everything else was supposed to be said and done is not a huge financial hardship. For a lot of other people and families however a budgeting surprise like that could mean the difference between being able to put food on the table, medication for a loved one, or being able to afford a reliable vehicle to get to and from a much needed job. I would have been infinitely happier if you had instead told me my issue had been personally reviewed by the Mohawk Honda President and as a result all employees in the sales side of things are now being instructed to give full disclosure to any potential customers explaining any and all fees upfront associated with the car buying experience including, but not limited to… For example in my case… The Annual Safety Inspection $10.00, Registration $64.00, Tire Disposal Fee $2.50 each for a total of $12.50, Paperwork Processing Fee $75.00, and of course, that last minute Bank Financing Application Fee of $95.00. Also, another possible fee for some customers may potentially include the need for Accident Stop Gap Insurance Protection which I was told would have been an extra $150.00 on top of my regular pre-existing car insurance. Then of course there was the extra labor charge for the installation of the selected accessories. In my case at least those labor charges were clarified up front. In my case most of the above listed charges were bundled into my initial down payment, but obviously not all of them as I believe should have been the case. I am not asking Mohawk Honda for compensation for my own lost time and trouble so much as I am challenging Mohawk Honda to name a real and lasting policy and procedure solution so what happened to me does not happen again to someone else in the future. I told them what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend and they made it happen. That car was for my business, and they are still looking for another Flex for me as I type. They did such a great job for me on that car, I also told them (Jeff Haraden & Camren McKenna) my girlfriend needed a Jeep but it had to be a newer automatic. Well, they found it, and she bought it yesterday.(2/9/16) The owner, Jeff Haraden, his daughter Lindsey, Our sales person Camren McKenna, and our Finance person, Nate Gagnon, couldn't have made it any easier for us. Even Ashley who took our deposit over the phone was easy to talk with. We couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with or a better company to place our trust in. I'm definitely looking forward to purchasing my next Flex from them and many more happy years to come doing business with not only true professionals, but vehicle friends for life. I emailed Jeff Haraden requesting a free loaner vehicle and he responded within two hours (at 10 PM), telling me to contact Stacey Cantoni the next morning for the loaner. I did so, and a 2015 CRV was ready for pickup within two hours. Within 10 minutes of my arrival at the dealership, Brian Peters had the vehicle for me to take. I was pleased with MOHAWK HONDA when I purchased my new vehicle years ago. Now, I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THE SUPPORT PROVIDED BY MOHAWK HONDA during this major recall issue. While I had no other choice than to click "service" as the reason for this visit, service won't be provided until the parts are available in Summer or Fall of 2016. This review is actually a reflection on the FANTASTIC OVERALL "SUPPORT" provided by MOHAWK HONDA. I'd assign TEN STARS if I could. More

When there was a question about anything Brad was available to clarify and/or go into further detail. Micah was friendly and thorough in explaining all the details of the financing arrangements. We were able to pick up the car the very same day and received a thorough guide to its operation from Frank We even got to have a long chat with Mohawk's owned Jeff.
