Long story made short. On January 5, 2025, I bought a 2024 Jetta at Lakeland VW that, unbeknownst to me, was missing a key safety system - the Active Blind Spot Monitor. On January 5, 2025, I bought a 2024 Jetta at Lakeland VW that, unbeknownst to me, was missing a key safety system - the Active Blind Spot Monitor. Lakeland VW knew it did not have the Active Blind Spot Monitor system in the car and failed to inform us that it was not installed in the car. After a few days of driving the car my son informed me that he could not get the Active Blind Spot Monitor to turn on. So I contacted Lakeland VW 3 days after we purchased the car and they said they did not know why the Active Blind Spot Monitor was not activating in the car. I left messages for the Service Department and received no response. I emailed Jeff Arthur, General Sales Manager of Lakeland VW, and received no response. ON January 16, 11 days after purchasing the car I got a text that the Active Blind Spot Monitor was not installed in the car due to covid issues. Since then I've called Lakeland VW multiple times and left a message for Jeff Arthur but still get no response. As a result, I have emailed VW of America's Chief Marketing Officer, Rachael Zaluzec, who is in charge of Customer Experience and I am awaiting her response. Do not trust Lakeland VW. Do not buy from Lakeland VW. More
