I went to Westshore Honda to purchase my vehicle at the end of my lease. Before arriving, I was told by my salesperson, Jacob R., that I would pay the residual value remaining on my contract plus registrat end of my lease. Before arriving, I was told by my salesperson, Jacob R., that I would pay the residual value remaining on my contract plus registration and title. When I arrived, I was presented a price of $5,000 over what we discussed. Jacob tried to convince me that the purchase price is directly from Honda Financial based on my social security number and it has nothing to do with Westshore Honda. After showing him my payoff amount from Honda Financial, he went on to try and tell me that the $5,000 difference was tax, which would mean I am paying over 25% in tax. He then continued to talk over me and try to convince me that I was wrong. He told me that he could not confirm the residual value on my contract, and this quote is directly from Honda Financial. Once I showed him my contract he went over to the front desk and spoke to one of the finance managers. I followed closely behind, because I was ready and prepared to purchase the car and did not want to waste more of my time. Not knowing that I was close by, the finance manager joked and said “tell him your manager is going to call Honda” and threw his hands in the air. At that point I knew that they were playing games and doing exactly what I asked them not to, which is waste my time. Jacob then brought over a new quote for $3,000 over the price we discussed and told me that they made a mistake and that they called Honda to get the new payoff. I was standing there, and I know that they did not call Honda for a new payoff amount in those 30-60 seconds. I eventually left and purchased the car directly though Honda Financial for the correct amount. I then called back a few hours later to ask for the finance manager and the general manager’s name. Ironically, Jacob answered the phone and told me David Martinez (which I came to find out was another lie - as this was not the correct name) was the manger that we spoke to and that I do not need to know the name of the general manger because he has nothing to do with this. He also went on to tell me that they are all “car guys” and that’s how they speak and act, as if that justifies their poor service. I would not suggest doing business with Westshore Honda. This is not an honest dealership and they will lie to take advantage of innocent buyers. If you are wondering how they have so many good reviews, when I leased my car they offered financial incentives for 5-star Google / Honda manufacturer reviews. More

I do not recommend this dealership. I was lied to and told something different by every person I talked to. I was lied to and told something different by every person I talked to. More
