A Masterclass in Deception: My $30,000 Mistake at Miami Lakes Auto Mall If you enjoy being lied to, manipulated, ignored, and ultimately defrauded, you’ll love Miami Lakes Auto Mall. My experience with t Lakes Auto Mall If you enjoy being lied to, manipulated, ignored, and ultimately defrauded, you’ll love Miami Lakes Auto Mall. My experience with this dealership was not merely unpleasant — it was Kafkaesque. I arrived for a scheduled appointment to purchase a specific car. No one knew who I was or why I was there. After considerable confusion, I was informed the car had already been sold — a textbook bait-and-switch. They offered me a different vehicle, which I ended up liking. We negotiated for hours, settled on a price, and I was prepared to finalize the deal — only to be told they “couldn’t release the car today” and I’d need to return the following day. Inconvenient, but not yet unforgivable. That changed the next day, when I returned with a $30,000 cashier’s check. They accepted the check, then promptly disappeared. When the salesperson resurfaced, she informed me there was now an issue with the title, and they couldn’t legally sell me the car after all. No explanation, no apology — just a vague shrug and a warning that it would take months to return my money if I requested a refund. To be clear: they took my money, admitted they could not deliver the product, and refused to return the funds. I was effectively held hostage. I had intended to leave Florida that day. Instead, I was stranded — for four full days — in limbo, lied to repeatedly, and promised things they never intended to honor. At one point, in an effort to contain the situation, a manager promised to cover the costs of my additional lodging and expenses. That, too, was a lie. A meaningless concession offered to placate me in the moment — and later denied entirely. Every day, I returned to the dealership hoping for resolution. Every day, I was met with a new excuse, a new face, and a new fabrication. The staff contradicted one another openly. I was told the car was ready by one employee, and still “under review” by another — within the same hour. No one seemed to know what was going on, or worse, they did and simply didn’t care. On the fourth day, I finally drove away in the car — exhausted, humiliated, and deeply uneasy. Within a week, I was forced to replace all four tires and both batteries — parts so obviously worn out that any competent inspection would have caught them. I doubt one was ever performed. And yet, that was not the end. I spent the next five months calling, texting, and emailing in pursuit of my car’s title and registration. My messages were ignored. My calls went unanswered. When someone did pick up, I was given a new story each time — all of them false. I bought the car in March. I did not receive legal ownership documentation until July. This dealership is not just disorganized. It is deceptive by design. The chaos is not incidental — it’s part of the business model. They rely on confusion, stall tactics, and misinformation to wear customers down, delay accountability, and avoid delivering what they’ve promised. Miami Lakes Auto Mall is a cautionary tale in modern commerce — a vivid reminder that not all theft involves masks and crowbars. Sometimes, it wears a polo shirt and hands you a pen. Avoid this dealership at all costs. Protect your time, your money, and your sanity. Do not step foot inside. More

🚨 WARNING: THIS DEALERSHIP IS SCAMMING CUSTOMERS – KIA MIAMI LAKES If you’re thinking about buying a vehicle here, stop and read this carefully. What I’m about to share could happen to you too — and I MIAMI LAKES If you’re thinking about buying a vehicle here, stop and read this carefully. What I’m about to share could happen to you too — and I don’t want anyone else to go through what I did. In May 2024, I bought a 2024 KIA Sorento from this dealership, trading in my Jeep Cherokee as part of the deal. The contract we signed clearly stated that the dealer would pay off my loan balance of $15,278.00. However, they only paid $14,980.33 — leaving a difference of $297.67 that I had to pay out of pocket. A direct violation of the signed contract! Since then, I’ve been to the dealership dozens of times. I spoke with the salesperson, the finance officer, and three different managers. The result? Empty promises. Lies. Wasted time. And not a single cent reimbursed. No one takes responsibility. But that’s not even the worst part… 🔧 During the first maintenance service: • They didn’t properly secure the engine cover, which bounced around under the hood while I was driving. • The engine was left covered in oil, and the interior was stained — the steering wheel and driver’s side door were smeared with grease. Zero care or professionalism. ⚠️ Life-threatening negligence: • During that same visit, they didn’t tighten the lug nuts on one of the wheels. I was driving on the highway with loose tires. It could’ve ended in a deadly accident. 💰 And now, the most outrageous part: • This week, I paid again for an oil change and tire rotation. I had marked the tires beforehand… and confirmed they NEVER did the rotation — but they charged for it anyway! This is the second time they’ve scammed me like this. How can anyone be sure they’re even changing the oil? I strongly recommend you take your vehicle to a trusted mechanic immediately to check and avoid major damage. This is not a mistake. This is a systematic practice of charging for services not performed, breaking contracts, negligence, and disrespecting customers. 👉 If you’re thinking about buying from KIA Miami Lakes, think again. ⚠️ You could be their next victim. 🛑 DO NOT TRUST this dealership. Sincerely, Alberto Altuve. More

I am referring to the person who was behind the counter called: Financier, this man was very poorly educated when my husband and I went to ask for information about the numbers and financing, we were really very surprised by that Bad attitude and rude way of talking to customers. I do want to tell you that this type of behavior does not leave a good impression or a good image for your dealer. How unfortunate this visit was for us today, apart from the fact that we were accompanied by our 16-year-old daughter who left this place scared. I wish you and your work team good luck and I hope that you can take action on this behavior with your finance team. More

Brandon at Mitsubishi was personable to deal with, but that was the extent of the positive aspects of our experience. I traded in a BMW with 2 keys, but the car we were looking at only had one. I asked a that was the extent of the positive aspects of our experience. I traded in a BMW with 2 keys, but the car we were looking at only had one. I asked about a credit in order to make a 2nd key ($950) and they said no. Not having a 2nd key is like selling a car with 3 wheels - yeah, I can replace it, but that is a reduction in the value of the car. Next, we opted to transfer our existing license plate - no problem, we were told. A week later, Brandon called us and said we would be getting new plates. When I asked why, he said it was about "toll violations" on our license plate. I opened our Sunpass account, and no violations were listed on any of our plates. He said it was too late and it couldn't be undone. A couple weeks later, I logged into the FL HSMV website to make sure everything was OK with our registration. I find out that our car is now registered under a THIRD license plate. After repeated calls and texts with no one ever picking up the phone - Brandon finally responded. He referred back to the 2nd set of plates and said they were sent. I explained that those were no longer valid and the car was listed under the 3rd set of plates. It took him another day to get back to me, he sent a picture of the newest registration and said they would send them. In the picture the issuance date of the plate was over 2 weeks old - they'd been sitting in the dealer office the entire time! If I hadn't followed up myself, I'd eventually be pulled over for illegal plates while the last set were sitting in someone's office. Will not shop for a car here and will warn everyone I can to stay away from Miami Lakes AutoMall. More
