Update 2: I gave this dealership a cashers check for $100,000 on February 16th. After more than 20 days passed I asked why my trade in's loan had not been paid off. I was told the check had been mailed $100,000 on February 16th. After more than 20 days passed I asked why my trade in's loan had not been paid off. I was told the check had been mailed March 8th. It took them 21 days to cut a check and mail it to pay off my trade in. I gave them the money to do so the same day. It took 26 days before I saw that the loan had finally been paid, during which time I missed a payment on this loan. After reviewing the wheel and tire warranty and seeing it does NOT cover the companion tire (which I was lead to believe it did) I cancelled this warranty and was told it will take 6-8 weeks to process the refund. For the cost of this warranty I can replace all 4 tires or have two road hazard replacements including the companion tire. I also have the Cilajet warranty on this vehicle. The paperwork for this warranty was not provided to me until after I contacted the General Manager about my experience and it covers the windshield. Mine only covers 2 replacements for the duration of the warranty, but the cost of the warranty is more than the cost of paying out of pocket for two replacements. My insurance through Progressive has an option for zero deductible windshield replacement for about $10 a month and covers both my vehicles. Update 1: After going through the 47 pages of documents provided at time of sale I had a lot of unanswered questions. So I emailed my experience to the General Manager Bram. Finally someone looked into my questions and got me answers. He also provided me the documents for the warrantees that are on the vehicle. If I had been provided all the documents from the start I could have answered a few of my own questions. Documents not provided to me until this point were the 111 point checklist, CPO certificate , complete over rev report, and Cilajet warranty. I live 4hrs away and did my deal for a used 2020 Cayman GT4 via text and came to a deal eventually bumping the value of my trade in (still 12k below retail), unwilling to move on dealer add ons that are not included in internet pricing. I arrived at the dealer and the sales associate was there to meet me, we went on test drive and I liked the car. Met the trade in manager, great experience. Very nice guy very personable. Then sat around for over an hour while they “finalized paperwork” on a deal that was pre arranged the day before with pictures of casher check before “reserving” the car in my name and allowing a test drive, pictures of plates I wanted transferred, drivers license and proof of insurance. (last two where asked for while the sales associate knew I was driving 4 hours to the dealership) The car had PPF on the full front of the vehicle but no PPF warranty information available. One dealer add on was XPEL for $495 and only added PPF around door jam and small patch inside door handle cup. No warranty information on that either. They didn’t even do the intake lip which has a little pitting already… The Other mandatory dealer add on for Indigo which was $1295 was GPS monitoring/ anti theft system. I was not told how to log in or access that system. While going over the car the “unremovable add on” was installed in plain sight. It’s connected straight to the battery… super easy for any thief to find and rip out with no more effort than opening the hood. I asked for a refund and was shrugged off. After paying 132k I sat down with a tech in Delivery room to explain the cars features. Super nice guy as well, answered all questions and noticed a spec of something hard on one of the system buttons that came off with some scratching from techs finger nail. Then rotated the selector knob and found another drop of some food, soda, or maybe cleaning agent that congealed. For this level of CPO vehicle that stuff should have been caught in the CPO inspection or the detailing that happened once I agreed to purchase the vehicle. All told over 4 hours from driving in to driving out on pre arranged deal. More
