The decisions are seemingly being made by the owner as to what cars to buy and what prep to do and it seems that’s done w/o knowledge of the sales managers. I’ve summarized recent issues below. Note: I tried repeatedly to talk with the owner and GM via phone and email. Neither took my calls or returned messages despite the sales mgr assistance. The sales mgr was extremely apologetic and seemingly tried to help. He has since quit as he was “tired of dealing with the xx of the new owner buying junk cars and not being willing to fix/maintain them properly” and “the constant onslaught of customer complaints” among many other blunt statements. He shared story after story of customers buying used luxury cars and learning that they had not been serviced or repaired as promised. Here’s the scoop. * I contacted the dealership about a car they advertised on CarFax.The car was purchased at auction and in transit. They did not have photos, but it was thoroughly described to me. * Once the car arrived, the condition and specs were reiterated to be as described and I was told the car was being inspected and serviced and that as a luxury car dealer, they didn’t cut corners (multi-point pre-sale inspection, including oil and filter change + any repairs). * Upon completion of the inspection, I was told there were no issues outside of tires and brakes and that both would be replaced with new OEM parts. I asked very specific questions about the inspection as the car is a high end performance vehicle. We discussed Audi and Porsche pre-sale inspections and I was assured they had the same process. * I planned a trip from St. Louis to Chicago a week in advance. The car was to be ready to go upon my arrival. It was not. It was a couple of hours before I could even see the car and at that point, the sales manager and I realized there were issues above and beyond standard wear. * There was significant damage to the rear tailgate and bumper * There was only one key fob. Key fobs are $980 for the car * Brakes (rotors and pads) had been replaced, but they were not OEM and service/parts had no information to verify the quality/fitment. * Tires had been replaced, but they were not OEM spec and far from performance tires (2 rating classes below) . * Despite the issues, I moved forward because I genuinely liked the sales mgr, I had traveled from St. Louis, and we were able to come to an agreement on a cost reduction to cover the damage repair and key. * After over 6 hours at the dealership (prep was never completed as promised – clay bar, paint correction, etc. and the pw took hours as the GM at the time didn’t seem to have a grasp on things - he was let go the same week), I drove the car home. * On the drive home, TPMS light came on. Three of tires were overinflated by 6-10 PSI and one was 4 PSI too low. * The next day, a rear faulty taillight alert came on, so I made an appt at my local dealer They did an inspection as well and discovered the following issues (video provided of all). * Rear Taillight Assembly was throwing a soft code. It had been replaced with a salvage part and the board was faulty. * Front motor mounts leaking fluid * Lower control arm bushings leaking * Tires were found to be ‘used’ – that’s right, they told me they put new OEM spec tires on and instead put used non spec tires on. That’s not even close to the entire story. There was a sales tax issue and more, but the objective is to make others aware that this dealer cannot be trusted. Trust is already challenging and when someone breaks your trust and then won’t take any responsibility, that’s a telltale sign of their character. There are, of course, good and trustworthy people working there. The problem is ownership and management. Gibran and Paul, you are still welcome to call me. More

🚨 Buyer Beware: Deceptive Practices at Maserati of Naperville 🚨 One star is exceedingly generous. I purchased a 2019 Porsche Cayenne from Maserati of Naperville, expecting a quality vehicle based on their assurances and the clean Carfax report. What I received was an unsafe, flood-damaged car riddled with issues. Within 24 hours of delivery, the engine light came on, and a diagnostic report revealed extensive problems, including a damaged turbocharger, persistent water damage, non-functional driver assistance systems, a bunch of other water related damage and a strong odor of mold/mildew—a clear sign of prior flooding. The car cannot pass inspection and is illegal to drive in both Maine and Illinois. Maserati of Naperville reset the engine light and all the codes just before shipping the car to me, demonstrating they knew about these issues but failed to disclose them. Despite immediate outreach and numerous attempts to find resolution, the dealership refuses to take accountability, wanted me to pay a 10% restocking fee, $1/mile driven and pay for return shipping. They finally agreed to refund my full payment but I still had to pay shipping. When they got the car back they said the won't refund my full amount because the engine light is on and it wasn't when they shipped the car. This was the reason I returned the car and they agreed to a full refund due to the engine damage. Their conduct is a blatant violation of consumer protection laws and constitutes FRAUD. 📢 I urge anyone considering buying from Maserati of Naperville to think twice. Their deceptive practices, lack of transparency, and refusal to honor basic legal obligations have caused me significant financial and emotional distress. Don’t let this happen to you. They claim first class customer service but, I assure you, I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life. This business is a sham. Please share this post with anyone you know considering buying a car from them. More

I have issues with the vehicle within the first 24 hours of receiving it. The list price was about $26k and the dealership force additional packages on the car not advertised and the price turned into 31k. of receiving it. The list price was about $26k and the dealership force additional packages on the car not advertised and the price turned into 31k. Within 24 hours of having the car it had to be towed back to the dealership because of electrical issues. In less than 18 months of having the car, it has required multiple batteries, fuel pumps, and other work totaling over 10k worth of work. Over 4k of which I disputed and was found out that was a false report and the original tech that looked at my car no longer works there. Amassing over 120 days at least under maintenance and another 75 days left out of commission and unable to drive because I live an hour away from the dealership and couldn't get it in to be serviced when necessary. All while I am paying monthly for insurance and an auto loan for a car I can't drive. Due to this I lost a job last year because I couldn't make it in, it put a strain on my family of 5 being brought down to one vehicle, and wear and tear on my wife's vehicle because that has to be the only car right now. When I received the car I was told it had a clear maintenance record and no issues, only to later find out "it is a ticking time bomb" - BART MACA, SERVICE MANAGER. The car is still at the dealership. It was "fixed" in June, didn't make it down the road before it broke down completely again and they quoted me another $4600 for repairs. Some of those repairs were said to have already been fixed. More
