I brought my vehicle in for electrical issues after being told they would test the battery. Instead, they tried to charge me $90 for an “electrical inspection,” claiming it was a deal because the norma being told they would test the battery. Instead, they tried to charge me $90 for an “electrical inspection,” claiming it was a deal because the normal price is $190. AutoZone and plenty of other places test batteries for free, so that was already a red flag. After 20 minutes, they came back saying my 2-year-old battery was “bad” and quoted me another $270 for a replacement. I declined and went to USA Batteries instead. They tested it, confirmed the battery was perfectly fine, and immediately noticed the real problem, a loose ground cable. They tightened it for free, and I haven’t had a single issue since. Betten is a complete rip-off. They’re not interested in helping; they’re interested in upselling to cover their massive overhead. Steer clear. More
