Gary was born in Davenport,Iowa and currently resides in Moline,IL.with his wonderful wife,Dana.Gary has 2 great children,a daughter Lynn and son Craig.Gary graduated from Scott Community College in 1981 with a degree in Automotive Repair and has been in the automotive business ever since.Gary started with Zimmerman Honda in 1993 as their Service Manager and in 1995 was promoted to his current position as Parts and Service Director. Maintenance I had them perform a routine maintence, that of replacing the timing belt and water pump. When I started to drive away I noticed an engine vibration I had them perform a routine maintence, that of replacing the timing belt and water pump. When I started to drive away I noticed an engine vibration that was not there before. Initially they were hesitant to to believe that it had anything to do with the worked they performed. There upon I agreed to drive it home in hopes that it was possibly a motor mount issue that would resolve itself. The next day I called the service consultant and he suggested that I bring it back for evaluation. They rechecked the timing and several other possible causes but to no avail. The vibration still persisted. And I was told that the worked performed was correct. So the tech asked me what I wanted them to do. I said please fix it. They then gave me a loaner car to return home. They called later saying basically they did all they could. But the vibration was still there!!! I assumed I would be picking up my car and just living with the vibration waiting for some future engine failure. But to my surprise I discovered that they believed my protests that the vibration was not there before. They reperformed the entire procedure and discovered the cause and corrected it. No more vibration. My faith in the adage the "customer is right" has been renewed. Those at Zimmerman Honda from the personal attention by the service consultant, mechanics even the owner himself made great effort to correct the problem. Bought 2nd & 3rd Honda Vehicles We bought a 2015 Honda Accord AND a 2015 Honda Civic from Jeff Dolan (Salesman) at Zimmerman Honda in August! We replaced a 2013 Honda Accord, also bought from Jeff Dolan. Once again, Jeff was awesome to deal with buying our 2 new cars. He isn't pushy, he's very knowledgeable, answers all questions, and is really pleasant to work with. Service at Zimmerman is very good as well, always willing to listen to the customer. The Honda Accord was the right fit I hadn't purchased a car in more than 10 years. This was the year to get a different car. I went to many dealerships and dealt with nice people at each one. I found that I was having trouble finding a car seat that supported by back and hips. I finally found a car and car seat that worked for me: the 2014 Honda Accord Sport. Jeff Dolan and his sales manager, Sean Fortin, were great. They were very patient, very knowledgeable and worked with me so I could find the right car at a rate I could afford. I was very pleased with how I was treated by Jeff, Sean and the rest of the Zimmerman Honda team. I also am very happy with the car I purchased. More

My recent experience with purchasing a new vehicle from Zimmerman Honda was, overall, great. I had done my homework prior to coming in (price research, trade-in values, and had pre-qualified for a loan), s Zimmerman Honda was, overall, great. I had done my homework prior to coming in (price research, trade-in values, and had pre-qualified for a loan), so I knew where my numbers needed to be and Jeff Dolan had worked with me to fully understand my needs and determine what we needed to do so I came within my acceptable number ranges. I would definitely recommend Jeff to anyone that is either interested in knowing more about Honda or looking to purchase. After past car-buying experiences that have not been positive, it was nice to get the chance to work with him as he was very honest, down-to-earth, direct/quick, demonstrated expert knowledge in the Honda product line, and provided an overall, very positive experience. I had a very pleasant experience with Zimmerman Honda in Moline, IL. Though they have serviced 3 of my past Hondas (Brent Staner), I had yet to have purchased a vehicle from Zimmerman. I had contacted Zim Moline, IL. Though they have serviced 3 of my past Hondas (Brent Staner), I had yet to have purchased a vehicle from Zimmerman. I had contacted Zimmerman a couple months ago, looking to test drive the redesigned 2013 Civic EX-L with navigation. I also expressed that I was going to sell my vehicle outright myself. Ruth Sanders and Sean Fortin totally understood my financial situation in wanting to sell my vehicle myself. I was not pressured in any sort of way to trade, etc. I was given their business cards and stopped in a couple of times, and they both knew who I was each time I visited the dealership. When I finally sold my vehicle on Aug. 31, I was in need of a vehicle. Zimmerman is within walking distance from where I live. I walked down the hill on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3, 2013. I negotiated my summer 'clearance' price with Zimmerman. The exterior & interior colors that I wanted was not available locally, so the search was on to find a dealer trade. I was provided with a brand new 2013 Civic to drive until they could locate my vehicle, since I had no vehicle to drive!! I was also pre-approved for .9% financing which is the best interest rate I've ever gotten on a loan. :) My vehicle arrived from the Highland, IN, Honda dealership on Friday, Sept. 6. I had selected many options to be added by the dealership. New tires were negotiated (Gary Ralston) and installed, remote start was added after market, and body guards were installed the next morning. I was able to take possession of the vehicle on Sat, afternoon, Sept. 7. I will return in a couple of weeks to complete the paint/leather protection package, as well as the DiamonFusion windshield treatment. I spoke with the gentleman doing the detailing (Johnny) and was confident in the service that I had purchased. He explained the products they use with the process. Very impressive. My financing experience was also very positive. Ricky Unholz was very accommodating in meeting my needs as a valued customer. Very down-to-earth, professional experience. He was knowledgeable about all the products, licensing, financing, etc. That was the most efficient loan experience I have ever had at a dealership in a new car purchase!! Efficient. I would recommend Zimmerman Honda to anyone searching for a new vehicle. They will be servicing my 4th Honda, too!! :) The new dealership is impressive, the staff is friendly and accommodating (plenty of salespeople to assist you), and the service dept. is top of the line.
