Horrible Customer Service and experience Car GREAT! Salesman WONDERFUL! Customer Service and experience ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Frank Esposito Dealership’s are NOT a place I’d ever recommend no Car GREAT! Salesman WONDERFUL! Customer Service and experience ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Frank Esposito Dealership’s are NOT a place I’d ever recommend nor shop again. On the week of July 15, 2019 I gave $47,288 CASH for a 2019 Grand Jeep Cherokee at Frank Esposito’s Edison Nissan dealer and Route 46 Chrysler. Notice I said cash 💰. Why am I still financing $27K for a Jeep that was sold to me for $48k when I gave the Frank Esposito’s dealerships $49k cash? Here’s my experience. I responded to a pre-approval letter sent to me from Edison Nissan. I went into the dealership and purchased a 2019 used all black Grand Jeep Cherokee Altitude with 1548 miles on it for $38,750. My sales experience was just OK.. I saw a little drama with the staff that made me almost walk away from the dealership completely but the sales manger pursued me to stay. He offered me a decent price for the “used” Jeep (which in my eyes wasn’t really used because it only had 1548 miles on it). Ok so fast forward we get to the the monthly payment part of the deal/conversation, I told the sales MANAGER that I really didn’t want to finance because I don’t want payments so I’ll just buy the car. He expressed to me that it is better for the dealership if I finance for a couple of months because that how they keep the partnerships with the banks. Ok whatever, I can do him a solid so I gave him a deposit of $19,788 and drive my Jeep home around 9PM Monday July 15th. HERE IS WHERE THE PROBLEM BEGINS....ISSUE #1 On Wednesday July 17th in the afternoon around 3:00PM I’m driving my new 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee (1548 mileage) I get to an intersection, I stop, preparing to turn right, then I proceed to make the right and the car stalled. YUP STALLED. A truck was coming behind me on the road I turned on and my car stalled...wouldn’t / couldn’t accelerate. The truck started honking at me and of course I’m getting nervous. Fortunately I was able to coast over to the side of the road to safety. I had to power down the car and restart it to get going. ISSUE #2 at 7:30PM Wednesday night July 17th (same day) in the processes of parking my car it completely LOCKS up on me. I’m try to position myself in a parking space and it locks. I can’t reverse nor move forward. I power down and turn back on same thing...not moving. So I leave the my car as is in the spot and go take care of my business and come back two hours later. When I get back I start the car and now ISSUE #3 my screen is completely black. I can’t see the the time, the Apps, the touch screen buttons...nothing. I power down and restart then I get a screen with an error msg. So the very next day Thursday July 18th I call Edison Nissan. The sales manger tells me to bring it in. I do and I also call the FCA recall center and create case. So when I get to Edison Nissan they recommend I take it to a Jeep dealer to have it checked out. I decide it is better that I take it to the dealer the Edison Nissan sales manger said he got the Jeep from, Route 46 Chrysler Jeep Dodge Dealer (which Frank Esposito’s other dealership). On Friday July 19th 2019 I walk into Route 46 Chrysler Jeep Dodge and I get an AWESOME salesman and sales manager. I explain my situation and I decide NOT to service a new car but to get another one. I did not want the potential HASSLE OF DIAGNOSING A NEW 2019 Jeep with 1548 miles on it. Remember I JUST GAVE THE DEALER $19,788 cash for the car. So the sales guy and I identify a new car, better model and I get ready to buy it. I’m told my car trade-in that I just bought 4 days prior depreciated 10k and I had to eat it. They come down on the price of the new car $2k and don’t charge me “tax” per se. So the new Jeep I want is $48,000 plus the $8,000 balance of the trade in. I made the only LOGICAL decision I think there is to make and I take the deal. I DO NOT WANT A DEFECTIVE CAR BACK. So I write a check for $29,500 and drive away with my car. $49,288 spent, bought a $48k and still financing $27K. I want my $19,788 refunded back. Would you? More
