Took my vehicle to McGrath City Hyundai for recommended service for transmission flush. My car immediately started experiencing declaration and stalling while in drive likes it's in the wrong gear, revving service for transmission flush. I called McGrath City Hyundai aniut the problem and was told I have to let the fluid work through the system and then it will be ok. About 3wk after this service I'm still having these issues, but now i see fluid on my garage floor when backing out. I immediately took my vehicle to a hyundai dealership closest to my home and found out that the transmission service performed on my vehicle, they over filled the transmission and fluid was leaking out on all parts under the hood. Now it's unsafe to drive. I contact McGrath to inform them of the latest issues and was on hold for 40+mins before the customer service girl came back on the line to tell me they cannot get my vehicle in for over 2mos, and that is the best they could do. Unacceptable to me I contacted Hyundai Corporate to file a complaint. They told me their process is to reach out to McGrath City Hyundai to discuss the problem and resolution. After 3wk of Hyundai corporate trying to reach McGrath, McGrath City Hyundai never responded to Corporate by email or phone. McGrath never took accountability for damaging my vehicle. Now that my engine and transmission has been damaged, not to mention other parts that are damaged they still have not taking accountability. I intend to take all and any steps necessary to ensure that they are held accountable. I see why so many consumer are stepping away from Hyundai vehicles, and going to Toyota and Nissan, and for good reason. I myself will never buy another Hyundai. This was my 3rd Hyundai vehicle and the last. I am totally shocked and disappointed with Hyundai. More

This will be my first and last Hyundai vehicle. The service department is extremely poorly managed. Despite scheduling appointments and dropping off my car for simple services, I can never reach th The service department is extremely poorly managed. Despite scheduling appointments and dropping off my car for simple services, I can never reach the service advisor for updates. They promise to leave a message, but I never receive a return call. I end up without my car for days, with no one able to provide any updates. In 2024, I would expect better technology to track service status. Even the link sent via text when you drop off your vehicle always shows “Arrival complete” with no further updates. The McGrath name used to stand for something, but not anymore. I’m considering switching to a brand that doesn’t rely on the dealership franchise model, like Tesla or Rivian. More

I do not recommend this location. To get an oil change took 3 hours. System wax down for 45 minutes. When I went to check up on my vehicle it was already done. I had said ok to additives to be added, and at checkout I asked if they could apply a $5.00 coupon I had. Manager was really rude and said no, I already had a free oil change from the 3 year maintenance. If I didn’t check up on my car how much longer would I have been sitting there waiting? Terrible customer service. $5.00 is not a lot to give a customer that has an oil change and also agree to pay for fuel additives and waited 3 hours and had to check on my vehicle that was already done just sitting there. Angry customer and will never get service done at this location. More

Brought car in for service. ..said it would take 2days. Not done at end of 2days. Pucked up car a.m. 3d day. Car was dirty and someone took it on a 40 mile joy ride. Do not bring your car here, unless you want more problems. I have never experienced treatment or lack there of at any company before. Let alone someone who has your vehicle and mode of transportatio problems. I have never experienced treatment or lack there of at any company before. Let alone someone who has your vehicle and mode of transportation. After calling countless times for 4+ days not one person would tell us the status of our vehicle that was here over 30 days. Left several Voicemails for Rome (service advisor), Ed (service mgr), Tim (service director) and Christine. Not one of these people has called me back still to this day. This is an ongoing problem. We were told our service advisor was on vacation, lunch, busy etc. completely avoided, lied to, disregarded by numerous people from service to sales. One person talked to me at McGrath Honda (Dana) with some insight, thank you to her. Finally picked our car up after it sat for who knows how long with all the parts in because no one was working on it. Just 2 days after picking it up, our Santa Fe broke down on the highway. Now it is back here and we are out a vehicle with no loaner or rental offered, zero empathy and customer service for your clients. We have no way of getting around. I worked at a dealership for 7 years, never once treated any customer this way or ever seen this happen before, completely shocked. Horrible place with bad management and communication/ staffing issues. More
