This was truly a poor used car-buying experience. There's so much I could complain about, but I'll stick to the lowlights. I don't have issues with the salesperson, but the experience with the Finance person felt downright predatory with the way numbers were skewed, obscured, or downright hidden. It was dumbfounding how he couldn't provide a straight answer when asked for a simple line-item breakdown of the numbers... multiple times. Even when I clearly called out examples of numbers that didn't add up because of fees that shouldn't have been included, he would try to convince my I was wrong because of some other number he claimed I agreed to (that I didn't) that was presented at some time during the hours-long process. He agreed to a discounted sales price but then kept trying to make up for that money elsewhere. He basically tried to make the deal contingent upon a warranty that I didn't agree to and then the deal wouldn't be done if we didn't finance with them. The overpriced warranties and an embarrassingly high interest rates were insane. I mean, why wouldn't someone with great credit be happy with a 12% interest rate? And the whole time I'm hearing about how much money they would be "losing" on the truck and how much of a favor they seemed to be doing for me even though it had been sitting there for months. I finally talked to someone the next day that was reasonable enough and we figured out a deal, despite me really not wanting to give them my business anymore. The icing on the cake was the driver side door getting scraped up during the detail, which meant more time sitting there waiting while it got fixed. More
