My son saw a vehicle advertised on the dealer website so we knew what we wanted going in. Steven in sales and Dylan in finance were both extremely friendly, helpful, considerate of my current financial situ we knew what we wanted going in. Steven in sales and Dylan in finance were both extremely friendly, helpful, considerate of my current financial situation and made us a great deal. It felt like we were dealing with family. They went above and beyond and with the help of another employee, Earl, they delivered the vehicle to my home. You just don’t get that kind of service these days. This is the second vehicle I’ve purchased from them and I definitely will return when it’s time for my next vehicle purchase. More

Buyer Beware I started dealing with World Volkswagon 2 weeks ago when I discovered they had the exact 2017 Toyota Tacoma model I had been looking for. I had made I started dealing with World Volkswagon 2 weeks ago when I discovered they had the exact 2017 Toyota Tacoma model I had been looking for. I had made an appointment over the phone with a salesman to come in over the weekend and take a look at the truck. When I got to the dealership, a separate salesman told me the truck was not currently on the lot since an employee was driving it to check it out for defects. A few days later, I test drove the truck and found it in good condition with a few minor defects (including a “bullseye” chip in the windshield). After I expressed interest in the truck, my salesman, Dean, and I worked out a deal where I traded in my 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser. After a little back and forth, I felt confident that the deal I received was fair on both ends. I then met with the finance department and found them to be a little pushy on the extended warranty and protection plans, but not any more than I expected for a used car dealership. My car buying experience up to this point is the reason for the first star in my rating. As soon as we swapped keys however, things started to get shady. When I asked if they could do anything for the windshield chip, I was told that since the service department had closed for the day I could come back the following day and it would be looked at. When I came back, I was told all they could do was drill the chip and fill it with epoxy to keep it from spreading (which had obviously already been done). That got me thinking about why the damaged windshield did not show up on the 100pt inspection I was assured every used vehicle goes through. When I asked to see the inspection report, the dealership gave me a piece of paper that said the truck had a wheel alignment and oil change when they brought it in. I’m not in the car business, but that did not seem like a thorough inspection to me. I also noticed that the receipt of the purchase listed the mileage of the vehicle at 32,168 and when I drove it off the lot, it had 32,820 miles. I found that strange since the salesman told me they only had the truck not much longer than a week. None of this was sitting well with me so I went back to the dealership and addressed my concerns with the sales manager. He first looked at the chip and told me the same thing as service. I asked why they would pay a glass service to “fix” what had already been “fixed” to which I did not get an answer. I was not satisfied with that since it would not solve the problem and I was told they would not replace the windshield but if I was unhappy with that I could cancel the deal and they would take the truck back. I obviously did not take them up on that but I did get them to agree to do the inspection “again” and this time, provide me with the report. I just got back from my 4th trip to the dealership in a week after having the service department inspect the truck again. This time, they were able to provide me with a detailed report. I had previously checked it out some parts of the truck myself and the report more or less matched what I saw (brake pads, tire tread, etc). It did also say that there is an open recall on the truck. Since this is a Volkswagon dealership, they can’t do anything for a Toyota recall but that would have been nice to know when I bought it. I will say that the service manager, Dylan, was a pleasure to work with as he did the inspection in a little over an hour and went through all of the results with me. He is the reason for the second star in my rating. Long story short, I would not recommend World Volkswagen to anyone. I feel the 2 star rating is fair since I did receive a fair deal on my trade in and vehicle purchase and the service department was timely and knowledgeable. However, -3 stars for what I found to be subpar customer service and an overall sense of dishonesty and shadiness. I realize part of my poor experience is on me for not checking out some things before making the purchase, but that being said I do not have any faith that World Volkswagen is motivated to do right by their customers.
