Our first and last experience on buying a vehicle from Shottenkirk in Waukee. Jacob our salesman was the best. However, everything after that was not a good experience. Took the vehicle for a test drive w Shottenkirk in Waukee. Jacob our salesman was the best. However, everything after that was not a good experience. Took the vehicle for a test drive with barely any gas! Therefore, was unable to get it up to highway speeds. They force you to purchase their Vehicle Protection Plan that’s good for 6 months at the cost of almost $2,000. When we told them we didn’t want the VPP plan because we were going to do an extended warranty. No negotiation on removing the VPP of $2,000. After taking delivery, got to highway speeds and felt a bad vibration in the steering wheel. When braking, the brakes squealed like little pigs!! Have had the vehicle in 3 times now!! Vibration still there and they just put a band-aid on the brake issue by turning the roaters and trimming the brake pads and lubricanting them. Definitely will NOT be doing business with them ever again!! More
