After having an awful experience at another dealership the day before. I went to Volkswagon of Orange Park because thats where the car the that originally wanted to purchase was located. Although I was on edge and skeptical most of the time, the manager, Douglas my sales person and even the Lucas the finance manager assured me that their main concern was to ensure that I had a good experience. Ray and Larissa made the process of buying our car so seamless. We applied for financing online which drastically cut our time at the dealership. Can not say enough about this dealership who I have been coming to fo ryears to buy cars and get service on those same cars. We recently purchased an ID. 4. We worked with two different salespersons, Doug and Lake, both were great. However, when we were passed off to John, not sure of his exact title, b 4. However, when we were passed off to John, not sure of his exact title, but he's the one that went through the finance paperwork with us, the experience went to xxxx. After we had signed the paper showing our credit scores, they came to us with their offer showing an interest rate that was ridiculous, but then offered us extras that we could buy, and if we did, they could lower the interest rate. Which immediately set off my xxxxxxxx detector and I made John aware of this. He then went to talk to his manager who came back with some story about how they didn't pull my wife's score, even though we had already signed a piece of paper showing the score they pulled for her. They lowered the rate, but it was still high. They wanted us to buy it down more by buying their extras. I refused to do so. We will be switching the loan to our credit union, which they initially led us to believe they would be using, but then came back with financing through a different credit union. In addition to that, they also had our address wrong throughout the paperwork. As a result they switched the address on my registration when they transferred the tag from my trade-in to the new car. We were able to correct this, thanks to Randy in finance, but it was still more things they screwed up that took more of our time to correct. Hopefully no important info gets mailed to the address they had initially. This is our first Volkswagen purchase. I hope it turns out to be a great car that last many years. If I ever decide to purchase another VW, it will not be with Volkswagen of Orange Park. If it weren't for Doug and Lake, I would have given 0 stars. More
