Absolutely the worst buying experience I've ever had. Dealt with Donald who is totally incompetent. Has financing lined up at 5.99% through a credit union, Donald said he could beat the deal and proceede Dealt with Donald who is totally incompetent. Has financing lined up at 5.99% through a credit union, Donald said he could beat the deal and proceeded to hard pull my credit and came back with an offer of 7.5%. The following day he called to try and sell me on a warranty package that I declined. He then called my wife and co-signer to try and sell it to them. I'm purchasing this vehicle from Alaska and my wife is driving it back. I am insured through State Farm who told me it was no issue insuring it through them in Alaska, my lender also had no issue with this. Donald called me and told me that my co-signer had to insure the vehicle for my wife, who is on the title, to be able to drive the vehicle off the lot. We ended up having to buy temporary insurance in Michigan for the dealer to release the car to her. All this after we had finalized financing and had check in hand at the dealer. 15 phone calls, 8 emails, and 4.5 hours of sitting at the dealership later we finally have our new car. The financing manager finally stepped in toward the end and took over for Donald. He drew up the paperwork as a cash sale per Donald's instructions to then have to turn around and rewrite tit because as stated it is through a lending agency. Do yourself a favor and never try and buy a car through Donald at Royal Oak Ford. 4 days of headaches after finalizing lending and paying for 6 months of insurance in Alaska and now temp. insurance in Michigan we finally have our vehicle. Absolute joke of customer service. Rant over. More

Being my first car it was incredibly difficult to find a dealership that would even help me without giving me insane interest rates and cars that looked like they barely functioned. I needed a car that would keep me safe through Michigan winters. I consulted with Don at Royal Oak Ford and I'm still in shock with how much he was able to help me. I originally consulted about a used 2014 escape thinking that was the best I was going to be able to get. Don helped me get everything started and when I came back that Monday, he helped me find enough credit and a good interest rate to be able to get a 2020 Ford escape with 24,000 miles on it. Don helped me get a car that can keep me and my family safe through the winter, and keep us safe and comfortable in a reliable vehicle for a long while. I'm so grateful for Don and everything he did to help me. More
