There was some discrepancy between the published internet pricing and the initial term sheet that the sales manager provided, which bloated the purchase price by more than 15%. Once I showed my screenshot of the internet price, the sales manager came back with the 'correct' non-negotiable list price. They knew I came in via an appointment from the website.
That was a bit off-putting, and makes the sales process a bit untrustworthy, but through the rest of the process there was not any additional hard sells. The finance guy of course tried to sell me the protection packages, but didn't push hard when I declined.
At the end of the day, I got the car I wanted at a price that seems fair.
