Very poor customer service.

Thing is, he never even called back. 2- When I got there, I told Derick I had called him and left a voice mail message, there was no apology. His response was just a nonchalant, "You did?" 3- The chat service that Kia uses to communicate with them is not helpful because they say they will pass on my info, but nothing happens. Oh, this worked one time - when Ashley called in response to an online chat a day or 2 prior to my appointment. So, that offered a ray of hope, which was dashed when I got there (see above). 4- The service is done but I am not sure what was done because I am not shown the work: I can only take their word for it since I am merely getting a verbal explanation. Also, to hear, "If the check engine light comes back on, we may be able to look into it for free." That does not elicit confidence. Plus, if the check engine light does come on, they should be doing the work for free. Well, lo & behold, the check engine light came on last week. My dad went there on my behalf; he did not get the assurance that they would do the work for free - and to pay $235 upfront with that uncertainty seemed exorbitant to me. The service would be related to the work that was done in December, so I do not understand. I will go to a different dealer even though it will be out of my way - and even if they end up having the same policy regarding the diagnostic. That is how huge basic customer service is for me and that is how stressed I am about this experience. I don't even want my next car to be a Kia for this reason.

I urgently need you to know that I must reschedule til Monday after 12 ... I am so sorry. I forgot about an appointment I have and that my father wants to be available in case the car fails on me (that is how bad it has gotten). HI John. I got a voice mail yesterday at 5pm from Matt stating my car he hopes the work will get done Wednesday (today) because there were issues yesterday. I did not hear from Matt at all today so i guess it was not done. Just saying ... I hope that it gets done tomorrow. OR that i get a loaner car (I know this aspect of the experience - the lack of a loaner- is Kia Corporate's fault- not yours).. It sure is rough to be without transportation,
That said, I do appreciate Matt's customer service and I have made that clear to him.

I just called you and left a voice mail message since you told me last Wednesday that I was going to hear from you in a week but I did not get a call from the dealership yesterday. I would hate for the false assumption to be made - again- that I have stopped following up so I am also trying this method to communicate. The voice mail there might be a faulty system.
