I recently had a disappointing experience with Mercedes-Benz of Fort Washington. My car was ready for pickup at 2 PM after servicing, but I didn’t receive a call until 5:30 PM—just 30 minutes befo Mercedes-Benz of Fort Washington. My car was ready for pickup at 2 PM after servicing, but I didn’t receive a call until 5:30 PM—just 30 minutes before closing. Since I couldn’t get there in time, I asked if they could arrange an Uber from my job the next day. I was told they only accommodate rides within a 15-mile radius. According to Google Maps, my job was 20 miles away, but the Uber app calculated it as only 13 miles, which makes their explanation confusing and frustrating. I’m originally from New Jersey and purchased my vehicle from Mercedes-Benz of Paramus, where I’ve never experienced anything like this. The service at Fort Washington felt impersonal and dismissive by comparison. When I arrived to pick up my car (after arranging my own Uber), I walked into the service center and was completely ignored. No one greeted me or offered help—everyone seemed glued to their phones. I had to stand awkwardly by the wall until someone finally acknowledged me. At that point, I just wanted to take my car and leave. This experience left a bad taste, and although I had been planning to upgrade my vehicle with Mercedes this year, I’ll now be looking elsewhere. It was expensive to get the rotor and caliper installed but it was necessary. I needed a loaner when it was determined that the car would not be done right away but it was done the next day but it was necessary.
