Class act dealership, great to work with. Third truck I purchased from Derek, second this year. I've sent several of my friends to him and they all made purchases. "Helped my wife's Corvette Purr again" My wife recently purchased a 2004 Corvette at Paul Masse Chevrolet, a car she has wanted since she started driving at sixteen. Driving "the Vette" ma My wife recently purchased a 2004 Corvette at Paul Masse Chevrolet, a car she has wanted since she started driving at sixteen. Driving "the Vette" mainly on the weekends has been great fun. She has not stopped smiling since. However, about 6 weeks after we purchased the vehicle, we were quite a distance from the dealership and the car would not start due to a "security" light on the dash. My wife's excitement quickly turned into disappointment and concern. As a result, we incurred a significant cost to have the vette towed back to the dealership for repair. Well, after being diagnosed, I was told that there was a broken wire in the ignition switch and would have to be replaced. After discussing the cost of this $500+ repair with Paul Parenteau, he informed me that he would cover the cost to "make it right". Paul, you did the right thing and we will remember this going forward. Thank you Paul! Also, I just wanted to say that our primary salesperson, Wayne Guindon, was a pleasure to deal with and he was quick to follow up regarding a few issues that we encountered, and giving me a ride home! Thanks Wayne! In addition, I wanted to thank Derek Thistle, the dealership's resident "Corvette Guy" for also sharing his Corvette expertise and excitement with us. Thanks Derek! Nick, in service, thanks for over seeing this repair and getting the car returned to us in a timely fashion while the weather is still warm enough to "put the top down". Thanks Nick! Thanks everyone! I recently purchased my first new car, a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, at Paul Masse Chevrolet, and the entire experience was phenomenal. Derek Thistle was the first person I talked to and he immediately struck me Sonic, at Paul Masse Chevrolet, and the entire experience was phenomenal. Derek Thistle was the first person I talked to and he immediately struck me as very genuine, he was sincerely helpful and made me feel extremely comfortable. Throughout the process Derek helped me to not only attain the car but also put me at ease and answered all of my questions earnestly which assisted greatly in my decision. Overall I would definitely recommend going to Paul Masse, the entire team is helpful and courteous, an A+ experience. More

I called and spoke to Derek and boy I was so impressed, Derek spent alot of time on the phone with me so I could get an idea if I and my husband would be approved. I asked if there was a black Malibu in the 2012 inventory and Derek responded excitley Yes and that in 40 minutes he would bring the car to me so I could see it. I was shocked when I heard that, he arrived and was polite and so ambitious on his job, he had documented some figures for me as we sat around my kitchen table. Derek made this sale with my husband and I as we were talking at the table. I felt so comfortable with Derek, he had me feel we should be having a meal together. The sale was made with a call from Derek on the same day. The car is in my garage on 3-21-2012. I just want everyone know I have dealt with many sales people and Derek is a TOP NOTCH SALES AGENT.. Finally getting around to writing my review for Paul Masse - East Providence, RI - we have purrchased 3 new vehicles from this dealership and I have to say they are very welcoming and easy to deal with. Our salesman Derek Thistle whom we purchased all three vehicles from was great with the knowledge of each vehicle, he is very polite, and has great mannerism, not to mention did not overwhelm us when we walked in the door, like you find at most dealerships. I will highly recommend this dealership and most importanlty recommend Mr. Thistle. Customer service and quality work are of utmost importance to me. For these reasons I would never ever recommend Paul Masse to my friends, family, or strangers off the street. My husband and I ende importance to me. For these reasons I would never ever recommend Paul Masse to my friends, family, or strangers off the street. My husband and I ended up at Paul Masse because they had the used car we were hunting for within our price range. My husband is the one who mainly dealt with Derek Thistle--both through many phone calls and in person. Derek was very personable and friendly through the negotiations and even when we picked the car up. Unfortunately, when we made a couple of follow up calls to Derek (my husband thought there was a second remote to unlock the car but I didn't remember seeing one) he did not return our calls. We called at least 3 times and left messages on his direct line. We were unable to reach him once we bought the car. We received a form letter from Paul Masse saying customer service was his number one priority and that we should contact him directly if we were dissatisfied, however there was no specific contact information provided. We let the remote situation go, gritted our teeth and paid $75 to purchase one and $50 to activate at a local dealership. I just got home from the local Chevy dealership because when our roof rack was installed at Paul Masse, they did not give us the star wrench that is supposed to be included in order to adjust the rack. We could not put our cargo box on the rack and had no way to adjust it without the tool that they forgot to give us. When my husband called Derek to tell him we were missing the wrench, he claimed no knowledge of our previous phone calls and offered to FedEx us a wrench asap. I took the car to my local dealership because we are going on a road trip and don't have time to wait around for the FedEx guy to deliver the part. Today the man at our local dealership told me that the rack was put on incorrectly, it was loose, and it took over an hour to adjust because one of the screws on our brand new roof rack was STRIPPED. Shoddy installation. The mechanic today told me that if they rack is not placed properly, the screws do not tighten all the way and that the person who installed it stripped the screw trying to tighten it. Other less significant issues added to our frustration with this dealership. The pretty noticeable paint chips on the edges of both front doors were not fixed as Derek had promised. Instead he literally tossed a small tube of touch up paint into our glovebox (which it has been too cold to even attempt to use). We told Derek we needed a non smoking car because we have a baby and I have asthma. The car did not smell like smoke when we test drove the car, but did smell like smoke on our way home. Along with the smoke smell, the upholstery was filthy--stains, glitter, dust, drips, etc everywhere. There was TRASH in the back seat pockets. We paid $100 to have the car detailed along with the inconvenience of having to have our baby's car seat reinstalled by the police department after the car was cleaned, not to mention being unable to take the baby anywhere while the upholstery was cleaned and dried. I have owned many Chevys and have never seen a dealership with such a lack of pride in its care, attention to detail and customer relations. No wonder no one ever called to follow up and see if we were satisfied. I don't blame Derek Thistle for the misinstallation of the roof rack or the dirty condition of the car, and I would love to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I do find it very hard to believe that he did not receive 3 voicemails. Even then, my husband called in the morning and Derek said he'd get right back to him. Derek didn't call back until 4 pm to let us know he'd send us the wrench. It seems as if this dealership is lacking in several areas which need to be improved upon. I have always been treated very well by other Chevy dealerships, have always been please with the condition of used cars that I have purchased, their attention to detail and I've been very satisfied with customer service--both before and after I made my purchases. I will never go to this dealership again. More

I called Paul Masse and spoke to Derek over the phone before we actually went to the dealership (since we had a poor experience at another local Chevrolet dealership just a day earlier). I told him the exact truck we were looking for, color, specifications and price where we were comfortable because I wanted to know if what we wanted was even feasible. He told me he'd give me a call back in a few hours, after I was out of work, and he'd tell me what he came up with. Just 10 minutes after I was out of work, Derek gave me a call with happy news that he did have the vehicle we were looking for and that we could definitely buy the truck for the price we wanted. So my fiance and I went to the dealership that night to check out the truck and to work out the deal. Derek was very down-to-earth and honest and he wasn't the typical pushy salesman. He seemed to really care about helping us out to get exactly what we wanted. Just two days later, we drove the truck home! I was impressed with how Derek and the financing department at Paul Masse did everything they could to help us out. The whole process was quick and seamless; they're definitely pros at what they do! If you're in the Southeast, MA/ East Providence, RI area and are looking to buy a Chevrolet, don't waste your time going to other shady Chevrolet dealerships. Just go to Paul Masse! More
