I should not have had to pay for a key when the missing key was not disclosed prior to purchase. I reached out to Dennis Adams, the General Sales Manager who should have been capable of providing me with reimbursement for a second key. Instead, he was arrogant and treated me as an adversary rather than a client. At a minimum, the dealership should send me a check for the $216 that I am out of pocket. Customer satisfaction should be a top priority for a car dealership.

We advised you, considering your location in Colorado and ours in New Jersey, that we would prefer an independent company (Lemon Squad) to inspect the vehicle and provide a report. You expressed concerns about the vehicle's undercarriage being rusted, suspecting it may be a flood-damaged vehicle. Our technician conducted an inspection and concluded that it was surface rust, posing no threat to the vehicle's integrity or safety. Nonetheless, we extended an offer to repurchase the vehicle and refund the full amount if the independent inspection confirmed it as a flood-damaged vehicle or deemed it unsafe. Despite our offer, you declined to permit the third-party inspection.

We never intentionally do the paperwork ourselves. We were charged the cost of the paperwork as well as an out of state fee. We were never advised it was customary for out of state clients to do their own. The name change and documents were taken care of right away. It is sad that we have not been kept up to fasten our plates expired on April 29th and we remain without our title registration or plates. With no indication of when we will receive them.

It is to our understanding that you have since met with our GM who explained to you the status of the title for your vehicle. We informed you at the time of purchase that we would need a VIN inspection in order to register your vehicle. You refused to give us a VIN inspection because you thought it was not necessary. After several requests by our Motor Vehicle Department for the form, we filed for a title only and did not register the vehicle. You then subsequently sent us a VIN inspection which we sent back to you along with the sales tax we collected and informed you that you would need to register the vehicle yourself and you would be able to do so once the title is recorded by the state of CT.
