After a negative sales experience at Marietta Toyota on Cobb Parkway SE. We will never shop this Georgia Toyota dealership again, I would not recommend anyone else waste time or money doing so. Our Salesman Grant Tyrolt and Internet sales manager Michelle Costner assured my wife and I the vehicle, a new 2022 Toyota 4Runner would be in stock and available to purchase at a confirmed price of $51,788. Upon arrival from Kentucky, the vehicle was not at the dealership, but the price had increased by $5000+ a "market adjustment." per David Swaggerty. Additionally, Marietta Toyota on Cobb Parkway SE Georgia added a $1000+. option that could only be redeemed (partially) at Marietta Toyota on Cobb Parkway SE Georgia. I would give zero stars if I could. We had an offer via consumer reports car buying service then confirmed by a certificate from their internet sales rep. They initially refused to honor saying it was for consumer reports car buying service then confirmed by a certificate from their internet sales rep. They initially refused to honor saying it was for a different car (it wasn’t) or a different VIN (it wasn’t). And then gave us a sob story about it being a “family owned” dealership. Refused to honor the trade in value and played so many games with the price I was insulted. Wasted hours of my time and my money. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. More

The worst experience ever!!!! Stay away from them. I contacted Marietta Toyota with a price inquiry through TrueCar.com. I got a few emails and phone calls from Hank Brown, Marietta Toyota sales person I contacted Marietta Toyota with a price inquiry through TrueCar.com. I got a few emails and phone calls from Hank Brown, Marietta Toyota sales person, but he just wasted my time and avoid any direct answers about out-the-door price, options installed, taxes, fees etc. He sent me a lot of irrelevant information, but not a price quote. Both Hank Brown and David Swaggerty refused to provide almost any price info. Here is the answer that I got from them: "Due to the competitive nature of our business, it's out policy not to email out out the door pricing." They told me that they would talk about financial details of the transaction only if I come to their dealership. I am sorry, but I don't have time to go to every dealership in 50 mi. radius, just to find out that they are not competitive. Even after I told them that I don't what to deal with them, I still get spam emails from Hank Brown, and there is no way to opt-out of them. This dealership is a nightmare!!!! Stay away from them. On the other hand, my experience with Nalley Toyota Stonecrest was just outstanding. I had never had such awesome experience before. First of all, they were not afraid to email me a written quote and offer their best price on a new 2015 Camry LE out of all 16 Toyota dealers that I contacted with my inquiry. Joel Hamilton, a sales professional of Nalley Toyota Stonecrest, demonstrated outstanding level of courtesy and customer service. It was pure pleasure to communicate with him and negotiate my purchase. He was very prompt in responding to my emails, did not avoid answering my questions or providing me with information in writing, did not wasted any of my time with empty follow-up emails, and, at the end, he stood behind his promises. I bought my new Camry LE from them for less than $20,000 out-the-door and I am very happy! More

Absolutely the very best of experiences, period! The purchase of the xD is my second new car from the good folks at Marietta Toyota and the 11th Toyota that I have owned. Spanning the entire Toyota exp purchase of the xD is my second new car from the good folks at Marietta Toyota and the 11th Toyota that I have owned. Spanning the entire Toyota experience from Sales to Finance to the Service Departments...WOW...who could ask for more! Please accept particular compliments for Mr. Alan Kell who, as most likely superior to all others in the Sales Force throughout all of Toyota both domestic to the US and International, exhibited the perfect combination of professional character and personal warmth. Mr. Kell really knows the Toyota business inside and out! Patient, good-humored, insightful and helpful; Mr. Kell was eager to locate the perfect new car. Before arriving at Marietta Toyota; I had already searched the Toyota web-site and mentioned to Mr. Kell that the Scion xD offered exactly the technology, style, color, price and other features most appealing to my interests. Miracles of miracles, Mr. Kell packaged all that I wanted and had the xD waiting as I drove on the lot. After a short, pleasant test-drive; Mr. Kell introduced me to most likely the smartest Finance Manager Toyota ever hired, Mr. Robert Manzur. Friendly and quick witted, Mr. Manzur carefully explained the various finance options available from which we chatted and negotiated pleasantly until arriving at the best deal for myself and Marietta Toyota. I really wanted the Gap Insurance and the Extended Warranty added to my package to safeguard the new-car investment. After the numbers were firmed up and the paperwork finalized; it was my good fortune to know that Mr. David Swaggerty, Sales Manager, was in my corner pulling all the strings to make my Toyota experience rewarding and memorable. The one common thread shared among all of the fine folks at Marietta Toyota and in particular to Mr. Swaggerty is that each person promotes honesty and integrity above all endeavors. Customers want/need the Toyota products, yes! Marietta Toyota wants happy customers and solid profits; but Marietta Toyota has purposed to deal honestly and appropriately or not at all. This is an attribute that is worth more than gold and can be taken to the bank every day of the week! Many thanks to everyone at Marietta Toyota. More

This is an update to the review I wrote earlier today. I received a contact from this dealer's sales mgr. and know now that they DO actually pay their salespersons a salary. I respect that greatly, and appreciate the apology for the miscommunications we received. I know not everyone agrees with me, but I truly believe paying car salespersons a decent salary improves the process for everyone. That is part of what was meant when told they were a family. I don't mind paying a little bit more for a car to sustain the salary for these employees as long as it is a win-win scenario with clear communication. I give them lots of credit for their policy on this matter, and interest in improving the communications with customers in the future. More

I just leased my 4th consecutive Camry from Dave Swaggerty, sales manager, Marietta Toyota, on July 29, 2013. Although I had previously leased 5 Toyotas at another dealership, my first lease with D Swaggerty, sales manager, Marietta Toyota, on July 29, 2013. Although I had previously leased 5 Toyotas at another dealership, my first lease with Dave was such a fair deal and enjoyable experience, now I don't consider getting an automobile any place else. And my 4th lease with Dave was the best experience yet. After Dave and I agreed on the lease in principle, he turned me over to Tony Tillis, the leasing saleman, who did a fantastic job completing the transaction. I have not purchased an auto at Marietta Toyota, but I would expect the same treatment if I did. When you deal with Dave and Tony, you feel like you are their only customer. Toyota makes excellent, reliable autos. However, once you become a customer of Toyota, they offer fantastic loyalty incentives to keep you as a customer. You can't go wrong with a Toyota and you can't go wrong dealing with Dave Swaggerty and Tony Tillis. Neil S. More
